I appreciate the hard working and polite staff, which is why it's a shame they are wasted here.I get that the restaurant is short staffed, but at that point it's incumbent on corporate to work with the franchisee and pay employees a fair living wage to work. Otherwise, the restaurant will continue to be short staffed.Went in around noon today, left at around 12:30 having not even received waters, much less food orders.Not worth the time to wait around.
Old Chicago is a little pricy for what it is but we had a great experience and our server was attentive.The Mozzarella Sticks were fantastic, maybe some if the best that I have had. The Thai pie pizza was excellent. I was nervous about how all of the flavors would come together but the ingredients were well orchestrated and in turn the pizza was deliciously flavorful.Overall, I would return just to order those mozzarella sticks again and maybe even try a different pizza flavor!
Great experience all around!! The food was good, atmosphere perfect for a summer early evening and Emma our waitress was a rock star!! We had a party of 8, including two littles 3 and under. She never missed a beat and kept us all happy. Never had to ask for drink refills, brought kids meals out quickly etc! Thank you Emma!!
Service great, after that ??. Food had some much salt in it there was no taste, well salt. Appetizer where okay, but for the amount of them for the cost, skip them. Ice tea was good... Will not go back. Ps reported the over salting to waitress, she relaid to manager, but manager didn't seem to care never heard from manager maybe manager needs a new job. Waist of time dinning there.
It was my and a friend very frist time eating at this restaurant! We Walked in and we was greeted with a smile and was seated really fast with no wait! The sever he was very nice and helpful when it came to are question! The food we order was cooked the way we wanted it and the taste of the food was excellent! The manager was very nice and she talked to us with the most respected and even answer more of are question! It's going to be one of of regular place to eat at in the near future!
We had Old Chicago cater our monthly office lunch in May and they went above and beyond for us! The food was delicious, and not only did they have it ready on-time (which was a challenge because I contacted them the day before), but several of their employees got everything to my car. They gave us a good deal, and our staff LOVED it all!! We will definitely choose them again in the future! Thank you again!!!! :)
The place is called Old Chicago and the menu has pictures of Chicago style pizza so we ordered that and were given a Detroit style pizza. As if that wasn't disappointing enough, all the toppings were burnt. Can't say I'd order from here again.
Good food, ample servings, great service, but no cherries on kids desserts as per online menu. (Kids were dissappointed.) I asked the waitress about it but I guess the kitchen staff couldn't accommodate? Maybe there's a cherry shortage?
The service and food were great! When asking questions of one of the staff members, she was rude and said that she don't have time and then walked off. If not for the rudeness of this employee I would have given a five star.
I was in Lawrence for work and Old Chicago was close to my hotel. I went at about 1PM on a Tuesday and waited almost 5 minutes at the door. Someone finally came and sat me. There were three other tables with customers. Ordered a water and asked what they had on tap and was promptly told “about 36 beers”. Ordered an individual meat pizza and it was very good. The crust was crispy on the bottom. The sauce had a nice bite. If the service was better, would have been 4 circles ?.
