Have ordered pizza from this place for some time now, but have just never been blown away by it. The crust is OK, but is not spot on. The toppings are OK, but not spectacular. The weirdest part is that if you order online, you get asked about what sauce you want, which sounded like sauces on the side for dipping... even though marinara or tomato sauce is not provided as an option, if you choose the sauce option, you get that as the main sauce on your pizza. Sooooo, good but not great ...
We stopped here on our way to KC after reading reviews about the gluten free options. We were surprised to get a table right away with it being Friday evening. Lilly was super friendly and helpful with menu questions. We had the cauliflower crust pizza and it was excellent. Greek salad was delicious too. Great overall experience- too bad we don't have one in Texas.
MINSKY’S has the BEST MOZZARELLA and most flavorful on the planet. Their staff is friendly, personable, helpful and always upbeat! Our hats are off to most recent server, TRISTAN! He was eager to please and happy to make our trip very worthwhile! The manager, Susie, was pleased to know how well her staff was performing!
While the food was amazing and not disappointing. I whiteness some patrons being over served alcohol as they harassed folks trying to eat. There was no visible manager monitoring the floor, the staff or bartenders. They were slammed busy. Normal I rank this location 5 stars. But I'm disappointed.
Went in for a fundraiser event. They didn't seem too particularly busy and had more than one server. The food was good, but the service was pretty slow. For example, I drank my pop and casually ate all the ice in the cup, which took quite a while, before they brought me a refill. And it seemed like the servers were intentionally ignoring customers as the walked by, making it difficult to politely ask for a refill. It's the first time I've gone to Minsky's in Lawrence. Hopefully the service was just a fluke, because the food is great.
This place needs new cooks and managers I have never seen food from this place come out of that kitchen that was so bad. Chicken wings still had feathers on then the boneless wings were so over cooked and hard and served on a plate with a dirty lettuce leaf. Staff members on their phones as well as the cook yes the dinning room wasn't busy we were the only ones after a small rush me being a general manager of an out of state restaurant the look wasn't at all professional. I will give credit to how fast the turn around was after a small rush our server was was pretty good from start to finish. 3/26/22
Zero service when I last visited. It used to be one of my favorite locations. I waited almost 30 minutes after being seated before the waiter arrived. During that time I just ordered my pizza online to go. I will not be returning and will gladly take my business down the street.
Ok so I have to have cauliflower crust and fount Minsky's has that. (Large size too! Most places only have one size) I see the "Cheeseburger pizza with pickles and mustard" and I'm all what the what??? I ask the server about it and he was like to judge it just give it a try, it's our best seller. So I reply, when in Kansas right??. RIGHT! It was the weirdest yet most satisfying taste. It made my brain go... Whaaaaaa. And my taste buds to scream YES! .... I LOVED it. Thank goodness I try new things!
These servers and staff have customer service down to a science. Delivery is fast and reliable . Food is awesome!! Everything is fresh and quality. Drinks are good as well. My go to pizza place .
This was my first experience at Minky's. Maybe it's my years in the restaurant business, but seeing someone eating(cheese out of a cup) behind the bar counter grossed me out. The pizza was ok. I love saucy pizza but this was even a little over the top for me. Might give it another shot.
