Actually if 3 1/2 was an option for rating I would have gone there. Got a chili dog with onions and mustard, but instead of the beef Frank I had them substitute a brat. It was good, although the bun fell apart. I just think it was a bit overpriced. $12 for a hotdog and a handful of tots is too much. Even if the chili was made in house which I can't vouch that it was.
At this point leeway’s reputation — the best comfort food in Lawrence and impeccable service — so I wasn’t sure what I could add. And then I had the Philly Cheesesteak on special. My favorite kind of sandwich in the world and Leeway now has my favorite in the KC metro. Here’s hoping they add it to the regular menu!
Really tasty food! Drinks are not from a machine, cans or bottles. Only down side is not the best location, very little room for dine in and the bathroom is in another part of the building.
The breakfast burrito special on the weekends is ?!! It’s so much food, and all delicious. I would love to see a vegetarian option for it, however they obviously specialize in meats so I am glad that they do have a decent vegetarian menu otherwise.
AMAZING. Best burger in Lawrence hands down. Great meat, awesome pickles, and perfect cheese ratio. I’ll be back
Not once have I ever come across a vegetarian patty melt until now. I had been missing those sooooo much since becoming a vegetarian, and this place really provided! I WILL be coming back :)
I have mixed views after visiting Leeway Franks. My order was taken quickly and she said it would be ten minutes but I dont think it was that long and the business is nice and I had a pleasant wait. When I opened my Chili dog with tots it looked great and I had a good amount of tots and for a chili dog it didn't look overly messy. The dog was good and the tots were good but a little on the cold side after I watched them sit on the counter while they prepared food but overall it was a good lunch. But,,,, I paid thirteen dollars for a chilidog with tots and no drink and while I can easily afford it, it is a lot of $$ for what I got. But, I saw the price on the menu and I ordered it and it was a decent lunch.Also, a fork and a napkin would have been nice but maybe they are available for self serve and I didnt see them.
Really good hot dogs. Little pricey, but lots of flavor.
A great big thumbs up from me. This little place is HUGE on flavor and variety. When in the area, skip Wayne and Larry's, skip Merc Deli and hit up Leeway... you won't be disappointed.
Top notch food and I think I'll be coming here more than I should.Bonus: when a guy left his table and coughed a couple times, an employee immediately sanitized the table as soon as the guest was gone. I only get carry out but it's good to see they are cleaning properly.
