Came for lunch, lots of choices including anything on the breakfast menu. Ended up with the egg salad, which was really good. ( a bit runny) And, a better thing... no pickle relish in this. Yea... Of course, they have their homemade pies and milkshakes and malts to DIE for... if you are not being healthy on a visit!! Next time, I will have to try a breakfast! Be sure and check website as they are only open certain days and certain times.. it does offer some outside tables..

My dad and I stopped in during a recent visit to Lawrence. We came for breakfast but had pie and coffee instead. The chocolate cream, coconut cream and key lime were amazing. My dad said was the best chocolate cream pie he has enjoyed since he was a kid.

This was our first time trying out Ladybird Diner and when I tell you the food is amazing, you’d better believe it. Not only was the food amazing with large portions but the service was outstanding as well. Our waitress Macie had a smile throughout our service as well as a pleasant and helpful attitude. Henry was the bus guy who didn’t even let our glasses get low once and was also pleasant. The desserts are an added bonus that just puts the cherry on top! Way to go Lady Bird Diner and staff! Kudos to you all and we will definitely be returning. ?❤️?

Oh my goodness! We came here specifically because of the Supernatural reference but their food is AMAZING! Highly recommend the chili cheeseburger in particular! They have small seating outside for your dog's and the waitress, Becca, was even thoughtful enough to bring us a bowl for their water! She was tanyastic! Will 100% make this a for-sure stopping place the next time we're in town!

Friendly wait staff, nice atmosphere and best of all-- actually good food. And the pies! Breakfast or Lunch, this is the place to be.

ABSOLUTELY the BEST Avocado Toast I have EVER had in my LIFE.. ?? Great Service.. Drove from KC to Brunch w my BFF.. I'll be back..

This fun filled place with consistently excellent food never fails to impress! The chili with onion and jalapeño cheese topping was superb! Onion rings cooked to perfection. My niece, daughter and I had a drink each (margarita, mimosas) and they were very well prepared! ?

Writing this review after my second visit. Without a doubt, the best breakfast/brunch in Lawrence. I have visited numerous establishments since my son enrolled at KU, and this place is #1. Meg (owner) is fabulous. If you skip over this place, you're making a mistake.

Stayed at an Airbnb on Mass and made the easy walk to Ladybird because it promised pie—even for breakfast, like a now-closed diner back at home. Arrived early and walked right in to seats at the counter, and we found the food options to balance classic and modern. Coconut cream pie was exactly what we hoped it would be. Ordered a side of sausage to balance for a savory bite; great flavor but wished we had ordered it well done or extra crispy. Whipped ricotta toast was great, especially with the honey, and the half order of chicken fried steak was PLENTY even for two. Tip: The steak and gravy are served on your choice of fried potatoes or cheese grits. Go for the fried potatoes if you value crunch and texture! Oh, and we didn’t realize until the guests beside us ordered screwdrivers that breakfast cocktails were an option, too. The food was great, but the service was remarkable. My cup of coffee was refilled after seemingly every sip, and after we had paid the server offered a to-go cup of coffee to take, as well. Whether because it was a Saturday or a game day, the place filled up fast as soon as we settled in. Plan to go early unless you want to wait!

Delicious and fantastic service. The pie was amazing! My AM Manhattan was delicious!
