My favorite Mexican restaurant in Lawrence
Loved the food, and of course customer service was fabulous ?
The food was delicious! Most authentic that I've had from a Mexican restaurant in a long time. We drove from Topeka just for the Thursday tostada special, we'll be back!
Very good food and service, happy they survived during the pandemic, lots haven't
I miss La Tropicana! I want to drive to Lawrence just to get their food.
The #6 was great, cheese enchilada, taco, bean tostada, rice&beans
We were attracted by the fun and vibrant restaurant which is why I’m so disappointed that the experience didn’t add up. We spent $55 for two meals, chips and salsa (you pay for the appetizer) and two drinks. The menu barely lists the prices of things and the waitress rings your card up without telling you the amount (i take fault for not asking before running it). $55 on Mexican food. I was expecting the quality of the food to be pretty good considering we paid so much. Our food was served on paper plates and we received our silverware in a plastic bag. The chips are so hard that I wouldn’t doubt if they were left out. I’m unsure what the experience normally is but we were super disappointed. We won’t be going back or recommending.
Good food. Order at the counter.
Just okay Mexican food. Seems like they had better days. Nice outside eating seating.
This was the worst Mexican food that we've ever had. It's stupid expensive, the cheese dip is clearly from a package, the rice and beans are flavorless, and I'm paying $50 for two people to eat off paper plates and with plastic silverware. The best thing about this place was the mango margarita.
