We have been eating at Jade Garden for years. We ordered delivery this evening, spending over $50 (for 2) and requested spicy mustard which comes in a very small container, 1 maybe 2 tablespoons. They called to advise they would be charging an extra $2.19 for the mustard!! I don't mind paying for it but $2 seems excessive for the small amount you get. Very disappointing.

A $16 dinner and I had to order at the counter and get my own drink. No one even told me where the drink machine was. The dinner was clean and fresh but the vegetables were barely cooked. I had almost a whole onion in my dish. I took most of it home and it will be good cooked more with some of the onion removed. The man who brought my dinner out was very nice. The counter girls were oblivious.

My teenagers and I love coming to Jade Garden for lunch together. Nice selection of foods and lots of it for the price!

Had this princess roll the other night. Perfect blend of super crunchy and creamy. Best sushi I’ve had in town. We always need to order the large lo mein for our kid. She absolutely loves it. Friendly staff and good service, too. Highly recommend this.

This is by far the best place in Lawrence for Chinese. Reasonable prices. Fast service. My usual always tastes the same. Even though I'm not a sushi guy, my daughter says it's very good. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite place ever! I go every week or every two weeks! I am always greeted by kindness and the food is amazing!!!!!!!! The staff and owners are so kind and remember my order everytime along with my name! They always make sure to ask how I am doing and make sure I feel at home! If you are looking for an amazing restaurant Jade Garden is where to go!!!!!!

I have recently tried their “Love on Fire”❤️‍?special sushi roll. It was amazing! I would highly recommend you to try it especially if you’re on a date.

I actually have ordered frequently from Jade Garden. The flavors are great. The food is almost always good quality and delivered hot.Lately they seem to be going down hill though. I ordered tonight and was super disappointed at having spent what I did on my order because the dishes were about 1/3 the quantity they use to be. With what the delivery services are now charging it really makes it not worth the cost.

Quality has declined over the past 5 years.Food is edible and some dishes are still fairly tasty.Portion size varies from barely standard to poor.Dishes and appetizers are often pale imitations of standard dishes you may have had elsewhere. They seem to be a hibachi bar of ingredients in back with a variety of sauces and cooks follow a basic kindergarden level list of what pre-prep items to put into each dish and what to squirt into it. Lame. Some dishes are not even half-hearted attempts.Examples from my order tonight:First the Mongolian beef is just their basic beef pieces in a normal stir fry (and not even much beef) with extra onions and a few bits of scallions, other stir fry veggies, and drenched in soy sauce and some hoisin sauce. No spicy note as advertised. This was nothing even remotely like the dish you would get in an actual good Chinese cuisine restaurant such as PF Chang, for example. The portion size barely filled the bottom of the container halfway and maybe 10% was beef. For my fourteen dollars I got craptastic soggy salty veggie stir fry with some soggy pathetic beef bits. And this was a large order!Next up, a large order of teriyaki chicken ($11) gave us three *tiny* steamed broccoli florets next to maybe two tbsp of warmed-up frozen diced carrots and peas in the corner of the container and a shallow lake of faintly teriyaki flavored brown liquid with a half cup of tiny chicken pieces scattered, swimming in the brown sauce-lake.With delivery (who did not follow directions) costs and some seemingly reheated pre-made bland cream cheese rangoons (billed as "crab" rangoons) and bowl of equally bland egg drop soup I spent nearly fifty dollars on food I would have scoffed at for fifteen dollars total.

The service was nonexistent. The food was not very good. The chicken was in large tough hunks. The moo shu - no pancakes or plumn sauce. One cup of tea -refill offered as we were departing. No ticket brought to table. We have eaten at many Chinese restaurants - none this poor. Make another choice!
