Was informed two queen bed rooms were over booked and was gonna be given a king with rollaway. But this GREAT couple offered their 2 queen room and took the king bed.I felt if it wasn't for that couple, the staff would not have been able to accommodate.Air conditioner worked GREAT. Breakfast was great as well.
We have stayed here several times. Quiet hotel. Very clean. We had a larger room. Nice to have 2 TVs and a couch to cuddle on. Pool felt cold to us, but it was outside. The front desk attendant was very nice, gave us extra towels. Considered doing our Anniversary party here but then we got sick. Beautiful conference area.
I have to admit we only stay at a few Holiday Inns each year, and I always find them “adequate.” This one was just great. The location is easy- right off the highway and very close to KU, and tons of shopping and food. The second we walked in we were greeted with a blast of cold air. There is nothing hotter than Kansas in the summer. It was such a relief after a huge baseball weekend to be able to go into the lobby in our room and truly cool off. Friendly staff. The housekeeping was as needed but totally sufficient and exactly what we requested. The room had every amenity we needed including a small fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable and everything was quiet. I appreciate the extra detail the hotel took to let us know that even though we were there for a baseball tournament, and we were more than welcome, there was going to be a point in the evening when things would need to quiet down. As a sports parent you probably have been to the hotels that party all night with the rowdy teams – this one was welcoming but also knew how to shut things down. I appreciated that. Breakfast was just fine – I think the “make your own pancake” station was a hit for many- we just relied on yogurt and muffins. I’d love it if they get another washing machine and dryer, as there is only one for the property, but there is a coin laundromat less than a block away and a credit card laundromat five minutes away by car.
Hot tub cold. Everything else working well and on par with Holiday Inn Express experience. Clean rooms and comfortable beds and bedding. But if you are looking for a hot tub as we were, you'll need to go elsewhere.
Clean, safe place in South Lawrence, at intersection of 59 and 10 highways. Reasonable "breakfast buffet" on weekends....durring the week it's a grab n go....so no hot eggs or sausage.Beds a little lumpy, depending on the toom you get.Price to value is pretty reasonable.

Very friendly staff at front desk for check in and check out. The room was good, no issues. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. The kids said the pancakes were gross. The biscuits were hard. The gravy tasted funny. The turkey sausage was just weird. My son did like the fruit loops but said the milk tasted funny. Good place to stay, but don't count on breakfast, plan to eat somewhere else.
Very comfortable and consistent like all Express stays. Rooms well-sized. Very good accommodations. Full sized pillows, great compared to other franchises with the ridiculous small ones. Breakfast a let down. It’s grab and go and underwhelming, but much appreciated as it shows corporate responsibility and respect for slowing the spread of Covid. In fact, it was the only concession to it’s existence as staff and guests and the world moves on.
Super nice room, we had a suite with a pull out couch. Nice that we had 2 TV’s for the kids. We had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was really good also.
