Auntie Em's kitchen has delicious home made soups, sandwiches, and baked goods. This dynamic duo really know how to keep their customer's happy with yummy home made foods and reasonable prices. I loved the "Grilled" Reuben Sandwich, the Strawberry Shortcake, and the down to earth hospitality of this warm- hearted couple who catered to me and made me feel like family in their home. Auntie Em’s is the BEST!! The food is beyond amazing, the best in Lawrence, and this still doesn’t shine a light on the absolute class of their employees. They are wonderful, caring people who create the most excellent environment from the second you walk into their store. A must-try for any Lawrence native or anyone looking for amazing food.
My husband loves a good reuben sandwich and I heard this location had the best. I stopped by here to grab one for him after he had a rough day at work. I also picked up a cherry pie and a lemon cake, along with pickled eggs and pickled beets. Everything we ate was perfect and so fresh! The people working were also very friendlynand excited for us to try their food. We will be back to try more sandwiches as my husband loved his reuben!
Love this place. I go there at least twice a month and get the Ruben I've tried other things on their menu as well and have never been disappointed. Very friendly owners. Good food. For sure would recommend. Too many fast food places out there and this place has that hometown vibe that you can only get in a place like this.

Such a hidden gem. I wish more people knew about it. The food is quality locally sourced and fresh. Staff is always super friendly. This Reuben has such good flavor. They even opened a little early for me cause I didn’t know the hours and was standing outside like a goof
Comfortable, homey atmosphere. Very nice folks. Great sandwiches. The carrot cake is a must! So moist. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
