The word authentic has been thrown around very often at a lot of different places, diluting the true essence of it, but in this I can with great confidence attest that everything about this restaurant is authentic and true to its word. There are a few places in Lawrence where you would find such a great place with the amazing atmosphere, fair prices and amazingly good food served with a smile. I personally vouch for this place.
I had my daughter's college graduation party catered my Aladdin this past June 4th. The food was awesome and had multiple request for recipes!! Aladdin even kicked in an extra veggie dish when they realized I invited some vegetarians. And the amounts of food was way more than what I expected....with most guest going back for seconds!! Thanks Aladdin for making this day even more special for my last graduate!!
I am going to give five stars on this one. This is a modest restaurant, and has had its ups and downs over the years. But these days, it is up… The kebabs are flat out excellent. The Petra platter is great. The rose lemonade is excellent. The lamb chops are superb. The only slight negative that I can offer would be that the baklava was not the best… Nor was it the worst either. The service staff is excellent, and the owner is quite pleasant. Bravo!
Great food, awesome service! So many great choices! Delicious gyro, hummus, and the pita bread is so soft. Remember to save room for Baklava!
Everything I have ever gotten from Aladdin has been delicious! The staff are always friendly. The owner will occasionally come out and see how everyone is doing and making sure everything is tasting good. The lentil soup is hands down my favorite; I could just eat a bowl of that everyday and be pretty happy. Falafel, hummus, gyro, shawarma, kebabs: all good! Highly recommend!
The food was delicious as usual. Portion size was perfect, as usual. Your associate Samir did and absolutely excellent job of caring for us! We would recommend the place to anybody and will definitely be back!
Food was okay but the wait was long, the waitress kept putting her hands in the back waistband of her pants, someone’s child went and spit something in one of the booth seats while the parents paid no mind (not the restaurant’s fault but still didn’t help the experience), and they never really checked on us to see if everything was ok or if we needed refills. If service had been better, I might have gone back but I don’t see myself going back anytime soon.
We ate here this evening on Christmas Eve and couldn't have asked for better service or food! This place is quite possibly the best Mediterranean food we've had ANYWHERE! A MUST TRY!!
