Prices are a little high (wine, dessert & tip $120 for spouse & me); however, excellent service and food. Eclectic choices and unique offerings. Pasta offerings were all aldente. Offers outdoor seating. Indoor seating tables were a little close to each other.

One of my favorite restaurants ever! Wonderful happy hour, service, drinks, and just food in general. The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming. We choose to do birthday dinner here every year and they make us feel so special. Can’t wait to come back!

This place pretends to be high class but is just trashy and overpriced. The cooks are college students not chefs, the place is rundown with mismatched serving sets that they think look fancy. And everything is incredibly basic with one oddball ingredient thrown in. Neither the ingredients nor the competency of the kitchen staff warrant paying such high prices. Go somewhere with real chefs that make quality food.

Definitely love the octopus, best octopus dish I ever had. However, linbo chicken was a little bit too salty but the sauce was great. Dessert was sad, very very dry and sweet.

Stopped in Lawrence for a night and decided to try 715 — my husband and I were blown away!!! First of all, they have a housemade NA tequila, and the most incredible NA margarita this 7.5month pregnant woman could have dreamt of. Husband loved his Manhattan too. For our meal we tried the special of the day rainbow trout and it was beyond heavenly! Also shared the crab ravioli, divine as well. Dark chocolate torte for dessert was phenomenal, not too sweet, with lovely cream and caramel to go with it.We are already talking about the next time we can make it to Lawrence to eat 715 again!

Lovely place! I feel extra fancy every time I eat there.Serving sizes are actually normal rather than excessive. This lets me try more than one thing without inflating like a balloon.

I was back in Lawrence and once again found myself at 715. Matt Hyde, Katrina Weiss, and their crew provided me with two outstanding experiences. The first night, Jess was our server and gave my client and me with some of best service we have ever received. I sat at the bar on the second night, and Alexis, the bartender, took amazing care of me. Please open a 715 in Iowa City, so I experience it once a week. If you want spoil someone or just yourself, go to 715.

Had a memorable evening at 715 years ago, so on our return to Lawrence we made sure to return. Arranged reservations early, which is definitely necessary on a winter game day. 715 offers a cozy, rustic dining experience with seating at tables or the bar top, as well as their heated outdoor space. If you’re a fan of candied ginger, go for the bonfire cocktail. Really enjoyed it. As for food, the grilled octopus appetizer was so good—and a really generous portion served with an especially satisfying mix of textures and flavors (spicy Calabrian chili paste, cooling herb aioli, crispy fries). The star of the meal was the house focaccia. If you’re a fan of spongy bread soaked in flavorful oil, this one’s an absolute must. I had the shrimp spaghetti and found the butter sauce too rich for me. My boyfriend didn’t, and I had just had the cauliflower soup before it while he had salad. That might have been the difference. The server had a simple mix-up with his order of scallops and pork belly. It was no great issue for us, as we’re exceptionally flexible when dining out, but the server took it off the bill—an impressive move of great service. Great restaurant for a special occasion, date night, or indulgent treat. Enjoy!

At 715, you can never go wrong with the spaghetti and meatballs or the house made french fries. Tonight in addition we tried two new dishes—the pozole and the fritto misto. All were delish!

Being from out of town, we didn't know what to expect. We reviewed the menu before going and thought, “that sounds good.” We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly, the food was flavorful, and the atmosphere was inviting. We came during happy hour and ordered cocktails and some small plates. It reminded me of having tapas in a Spanish town. We really wanted to try the schnitzel, and we are glad we did. Unfortunately, we were too full to order dessert even though everything sounded delicious.
