This place was awesome 2 years ago. This time we had our daughter and we had trouble ordering with lack of knowledge of food. So if you're celiac and allergic to dairy, be warned. Otherwise, I'm not sure if we happened to be in on an off day or what, but the tables were sticky, there was no soap in any of the bathroom dispensers, water was on the floor and things just didn't look well maintained. I hope they pull this place back together.
Been here 3 times and the first 2 were good. But last night was the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. And this is not an exaggeration. Our waitress was new so some mistakes are expected, but...We sat for over 15 minutes with no one taking our drink order. When she finally came to take our drink order by that time we all knew what we wanted. So we also ordered our food. Another 15 minutes goes by and we still did not have our waters or margaritas ordered. Our main course starts to arrive, and we still had not received the Queso ordered or even the chips and salsa that our waitress said repeatedly she would bring. Our main course was chalk full of mistakes, not 2 or 3 but every single person and multiple mistakes. Finally our waters arrived halfway through the meal. Luckily our appetizers arrived as a main course was sent back to be made without onions. Our margaritas ordered didn't arrive until an HOUR after we sat down and dinner was nearly done. Never once did our waters get refilled. Asked for sides of sour cream when food was ordered, but it wasn't delivered until main course was done. The list goes on, a d the waitress wasn't rude and apologized, once saying she was new. But I'm dead serious when I say at 40 years old it was the absolute worst service I've ever received in my life. The bartender/manager comped our margaritas and apparently Monday night is 50% off night for Frontline workers. So that took the sting out a little. But as someone who regularly organizes large groups of people to go have tacos... I think I have to remove this place from my list after last night.
disappointed…..For years we’ve enjoyed Mission Tacos in KCK. They loved our dogs and we loved them. We made a horrible mistake of going to the one in the Crossroads. The bartender dismissed me after ordering and I had chase her down to understand how we would receive our order. The taco’s were horrible and we were chastised for the dogs in the courtyard (my husband moved the fake hedge thinking it was the same as the other other Mission Tacos). We’ve always order the same two items , 2 beef tacos and 2 chicken tacos ( I didn’t look at the menu… I thought we knew it) I love spicy foods but this wasn’t even edible. I don’t normally post reviews couldn’t keep quiet. 5 hours later and I’m still mad. Also, I might have missed it, but we never saw a “No dog allowed” sign while ALL other business in the area allow them. Side note, they didn’t even have the grace to give us napkins or utensils with our order. Mission Tacos is amazing but the Cross Roads franchise is a embarrassment.
I don't think there are enough words on Google to describe how wonderful the service is...and how spectacular the food taste.
Authentic Mexican Food! Good drinks and good service!
Don’t waste your time!!! Plenty of great places in Crossroads, you will not miss anything if you skip over this awful place. …I just had the Absolute WORST experience I’ve had at a restaurant ever - from the hostess, to the bartender and the manager. I have eaten here several times and it’s never been great - people, food and service has always been mediocre and the staff are usually not friendly but it was easy to ignore with good company and all the other great crossroad places we had been and were headed to, but tonight was IT for me. I have never been treated so poorly and for no reason and will never be back. I took my 8 year old, well behaved daughter in tonight at like 630 (not late) to meet my sister in law and niece who are in from out of town and headed to Kacey Musgraves. Apparently, you should never take kids here and they seemed extremely hateful and biased towards kids/families. We got on the waitlist and long story short we were taken off the wait-list with out being told, not allowed to sit in any seats, the bartender literally walked out from behind the bar to yell at us for the girls sitting in a seat that was out of the way and picked up all our stuff and tossed it - he then yelled at us to get out of the way when we ordered at an open spot at the bar where we were told we could order (and no, the kids were not at the bar)….All the meanwhile we asked very politely if it was okay if we stood here, ordered here and we’re trying to respect it was busy etc….we tried to make the best of it but we’re never allowed to sit for the almost 2 hours we were waiting and before we left I asked if my daughter could sit in an empty chair and clarified why we still didn’t get a table as we were on the wait list - I was literally told in the most condescending arrogant way by the Gen Z host that there were plenty of other restaurants in the area that would better suit our needs and basically we needed to leave - up until this time I had been very patient, pleasant and understanding and made zero complaints to any employee. Unbelievable and unacceptable!
It was great
Ordered a couple tacos from the menu given me. Only two were available. The tortilla was raw and refrigerator-cold, stiff as a board. The fillings were cold and mixed together like dog's dinner. One bite was enough. I had to throw away $9 food because afraid to eat the raw flower tortilla. No evidence of spots of color or puffy spots on tortilla, just flat and raw.
Great frozen Mango margs
I haven't been here for several years but thought I would give it a try as it is part of the KCK Taco Trail. I ordered fajitas and a brisket taco (from the S&P taco menu). The fajitas were underwhelming and did not come on a sizzling platters like every other fajita order I've had. They had so many red onions that was all I could taste. The brisket taco was really good. At some of the places I've gone to, the street tacos have barely any meat with some cilantro twigs on top. The brisket taco had about three tablespoons of brisket plus it came with lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes for a plentiful presentation. First bite though, the meat fell out of the bottom of the tortilla because it had soaked through. Maybe wrapping it in a second tortilla would be better. Chips and salsa weren't great, just so-so.
