Love Rosedale BBQ. Help is friendly. Very clean. Great atmosphere. And the food is really good. Have never had a bad meal. Large helpings. Had to get a to go box for my burnt ends. Got there about 11:30. Seemed like a good time to go since it filled up quickly. Will recommend to anyone wanting good BBQ.

Best barbecue in KC, hands down. Has been as long as I can remember. Raised on Rosedale and will always give them my business. I have never had a bad experience and do not expect that I ever will. Love it.

Not quite sure on how this place has nearly a 5 star average???The good: The employees were very nice, food came out fast. Place was clean. The bad: I don’t think they have every heard of seasoning. We tried the pulled pork, chicken, ribs, fries, hotdog between our whole family and everything was VERY bland almost as if they don’t put any seasonings on any of their meat. Now the sauce they had was very good, zangy/sweet, but this place just expects any and all flavor to come from the sauce. Place has been opened since the 30’s I feel that they had to have used seasonings before to stay open this long..Very disappointed as I was excited to try a restaurant that has been open as long as this bbq joint with good reviews. But sadly left disappointed in the food quality (except the sauce). If I were you I would probably look elsewhere if you like meat to have flavor without a pound of sauce.

Me and my daughter came here for a birthday dinner after a busy day at Union Station and Crown Center. The location was covenient....close to our hotel right off I35. The food was very good and the people were very friendly. I have tried many BBQ places in KC and this was one I had missed. Highly recommend!!!

This is a nice clean place with fast friendly service, and I love the history of it. I had burnt ends and fries, and the burnt ends tastes like chunks of pot roast dressed with BBQ sauce. There was nothing burnt, no blackened outer crust of seasoning and smoke, no bark. The fries were crinkle cut and were crispy, but had no salt so they were bland. The basket meal was $10, which I think is very reasonable, and I would go back and try something else if I'm in the area again.

The overall environment was nice and staff was friendly. But for us, we hated the taste of the food. Took one bite and said Nope. BBQ is all about preference so others may absolutely love this place. But for us, we prefer Joe's BBQ over this place. The brisket was undesirable and the ribs were boiled.

The ribs were edible but to dry and tasteless the baked beans were great. This is my first taste of KC barbecue I'm disappointed.

We absolutely love this BBQ restaurant! We discovered it 20 years ago and stop any time we are going through KC. The 2 meat combo with sausage and brisket is our favorite.

My favorite load up BBQ in KCCome hungry get the deluxe combo meal comes with long side of ribs two different choices of meat beans coleslaw bread and french fries it's more food than three people need to eat but it's amazing love it.Come early in the day

The spicy sauce lacks flavor... is spicy but not flavorful.. a tad sweet. The ribs look espectacular but lacked so much flavor.. i wish the table had salt.... they needed salt... no smoke in them... the beef was better but not by much. The pulled pork was bland at best. The sides were much better... starting with the beans... not too sweet... a bit spicy but good overall. The coleslaw was sweet also and ok. The potato salad was pretty decent as well.Overall I don't think I would go again. Maybe it used to be a great place but today was not.
