First time in. I had catfish and gumbo. It was great. I’ll be back to try Catfish po boy.
The worker Charles is so disrespectful to the customer's.... he told me to eat a bag of dicks.... I reported this to the management they took his side and he's still employed there.... I'm wyco born and raised when he told me tht & still has a job there I've taken my business to Murdock's in kcmo.
If you have never had, Mad Jack's, you are really missing out on a awesome culinary experience. Call in your order, go pick it up, waiting in your vehicle until they text you. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed! Like many of my class mates. We have been going there over 30 years. WINNER!

Visiting Kansas City from Dallas. I was told that Mad Jack's was a "can't miss" place to try. I ALMOST agree. They are known for their fish. Mad Jack's does that very, very well. Whatever they use in the batter is amazing!There are 2 problems. The sides are just okay. Anything that is not fried is just alright. Desserts included. The second problem is the service. They get a ton of business, so I get it, but we walked in (smiling) and let them know it was our first time here. You would think that would come with a slight uptick and maybe some assistance. That was a hard no. Wow.So get the fish ?. Leave the rest.
Stopped here for lunch. . Food wait time wasn't long at all.. approx 10 mins.. staff was friendly and prompt.. wide variety of fish to choose from.. food was hot and fresh .. can't wait to stop in again.
I do a lot of door dash here. It is popular. I have never ate off the menu but I have bought fresh fish to take home. My wife really liked it. I don't know much about fish but she said it had a good quality and smelled like it should? They have quite a few cuts and types of fish to purchase.

I love Mad Jack's - The food is always good and the staff is always super friendly. I'm never dissatisfied. I will support this local business as long as I am in this area and alive. I hope they keep the same small building for the nostaglia and never change.
It traveled to KS, city Mo. I had asked 3 people where can I get some good southern fried fish. There response was Mad jacks. Lol! That was the worst fried fish I ever tasted in my life. The fish was just a big box of grease. The fish tasted just like river water. Madjack do not know how to fry fish. $$$ DOWN THE DRAIN. There was no flavor to the fish & they forgot to put of French fries in the bag. Somebody please teach mad jacks how to fry fish. Worst restaurant ever!
