Jose Peppers is a local staple for descent Mexican food - I wouldn't say it's the best out there, and it's far from the best value, but they do a pretty good job.Unfortunately, the service was pretty terrible. For an order that was estimated to be ready at 6:35 p.m., two phone calls later finally brought the items out to the car approximately 15 minutes late. There is no curbside area to park in, despite the suggestion on the ordering form that you can do so. Also, speaking of the online ordering platform, you aren't able to make any adjustments or notes outside of the basic add/remove sides option for most items.*Local Tip* Don't do the curbside pickup. Parking at the Legends is atrocious anyways, and sitting in front of the restaurant with your hazard lights on is extremely dangerous. While the food is good, a dedicated parking spot for curbside pickup needs to be implemented so someone doesn't get hurt.
My husband and I had lunch here today we both ordered the taco salad and eat the same white cheese dip and it will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! I've been at work throwing up I'm pale I can't stay off the toilet. The food taste so good going down but not so good coming up! I ate at the one in overland park and didn't have this issue. We will not return back to this location.
The service was poor to moderate the food and drinks were good, I wish that my server would have thought to ask if we would like a glass of water. We had a question and found no one visibly available to speak to until we saw our waitress stick her head out of the booth she was sitting in chatting with a co-worker maybe on break?Just because we're not young it dosen't mean that we don't deserve good service, attentiveness is what brings in the tips.
The meal was really good that I ordered. The menu was smaller than most Mexican restaurants but had some really appealing options. Service could have been better, we were only checked on once and it was at the end of the meal to see if we were ready to pay. Overall it wasn't the worst dinner experience but not the best. The cooks did a great job our food was nothing to complain about, but won't be coming back anytime soon
Never had it, margarita was very good! The salsa was good, better than Chuy's,my opinion! Waisted was very friendly, and patient. I ordered a puff taco and it was actually pretty good, meat was seasoned, nice size taco, full of cheesy meat, rice was good, My cousin had a burrito with chicken and this cheese sauce on top and it was Fire! I hope my food is as good everytime I go and at each location!!
Very disappointing, what they call qeuso is actually cream cheese and they don't have nachos like you would expect, not authentic at all....NOTHING BUT WHITE PEOPLE HERE.Food is VERY BLAND, also walls are so high that you can't see where your server is to get their attention.Quesadilla was dripping with grease
After standing in line for 10 minutes or so with now form of contact from the restaurant. They finally ask us how many in our group we told them 7 ,but as this was going on one of the waiters told her they needed to take a drink off a customer's recipe because they didn't get the drink and how now decided not to so thay ask for it to be taken off. The owners reply was no. We just left don't recommend the place and differently won't go back.
Very clean, needs a little updating. Service was excellent, they made my wife an item no longer on the menu, the parmesan crested veggie quesadilla. That is amazing, I don't know why it's off the menu. I had the corona shrimp tacos, the were delicious, but a bit messy. Most great foods are messy though lol. Chips and salsa were ok nothing to exciting but at least they were fresh.
So me and my son went to Jose peppers here at the legends at kck and you he food was lack luster to say the least. Son got the chimi platter (pictured) and his got a deep fried chimi… mine had so much red sausage that I asked for a different plate cause it was to much and over powered the actual food. My son plate looked gross and he only at about and 1/8 of it and he didn’t want it so I gave him half of mine. I talked to the manager and he just made excuses about the ladles that are used to put on Sause. After 8 years of coming here I think it’s time for a break
Arrived at 2pm , restaurant was dead! We ordered a burrito bowl with steak and received chicken instead. Shredded beef tacos were extremely dry. Queso was cold. Margaritas were terrible!!! And waitress was very unprofessional. Will not be returning
