Before I ordered I asked was it spicy hot "NO" I was told, I asked do they cook with lemon in the food because I'm allergic to it "NO" She said. I asked for it to have tarter sauce and ranch didn't get it. I really wanted to try this place out for awhile and well I do not think I'll be going back

Food is good, that lemon pepper is fire. Takes 20 to 30 mins for an order. Call ahead if you can. Combos no longer come with 2 sides(no coleslaw). Price have increased as well. May 2022. Of course it's Js chicken and people be all wild in there. ?
Small restaurant and was busy the day I went there. Got 30 wings for $32 and it was cooked when ordered. I go to J's when I hold parties and they always meet my expectations.
Different cook on the weekends? Ugh! Gizzards weren't edible-> trash! Wrong wing dings were given. Though KCK location is still better than KCMO

Came here for lunch. Everything was perfect 👍🏽 fish and shrimp was the stuff!!!! Cheesecake was awesome too!💯
I personally make sure I go to Jay's chicken each and every time I travel to Kansas City. That Lemon Pepper chicken is the best.I need the owner to call me just so he can send me some of that delicious seasoning. Yummmmmmmy
Ordered online and had to wait an additional 30mins after I got there. Folks that had ordered at the window after I had arrived got their food before I did. When I when I finally got to the window to get a refund they were packing my order. The catfish filets were cooked too hard and the green beans were cold. Definitely will not be returning to this location.
Very very VERY RUDE after giving us chicken that was fried in DIRTY GREASE an awful taste!!!! Called 2 days straight and when we did get intouch with the manger he hung up on me.
