I'm very disappointed in this place. My fiance and I tried this place for the first time today. When we saw the menu got excited. Ended up spending over $75 not being able to make up our minds on what to get. Best way to describe this was a very skewed Midwest take on southern food....like all they knew is what to serve not how to make it. Everything lacked in flavor. I use more seasoning in my own home. The place was dirty too. Several dirty tables and the floor was sticky and trash that was stuck around all the tables feet. It was hot and humid inside. The cashier, Asia, was very friendly and kind. She was patient with us the whole time we tried to make up our minds. I'm very appreciative for her honesty as well when we asked about the coleslaw.
Very rarely do I find a place that serves shrimp Alfredo and makes it perfectly. The noodles were very soft, not over cooked or under cooked, and the shrimp had so much flavor. My husband got something with chicken, fries, and macaroni with a few hush puppies and it was almost like eating at Popeyes. Not exactly Popeyes but close enough.
The food was very bland. Very Midwestern take on southern food, they knew what to make but not how to make it. The dining area was very dirty as well. Only good thing was the cashier who was very kind
This is another dining place that's in desperate need of a manager. They seem to always have a lengthy list of items they're out of on the chalkboard, they've been open for several months now, so they should know what to order. When we arrived on a Saturday evening, it was hot and stuffy inside and they had opened up the side door. My wife asked if the AC was down and they said, no, they had just turned it off. When she asked why, they decided they could turn it back on. The food has been pretty good here but they need to improve customer service.
I have eaten here several times in the past and the catfish was good. We drove 30 miles to get here this evening expecting a decent meal. I am in shock at how time has changed the quality of what I ordered. The fish was barely half the size that it was the last time we were here. It was so thin you could barely see what it was. I showed it to the two staff girls that were working and they said it looked fine. It was horrible. Who do you want to believe, a 75 year old man or a couple of teeny boppers that wouldn't know a fish if it landed in their lap. Bottom line, we won't come back. Was not a good choice.

I was in town on business and I was looking for somewhere to eat as I drove near my hotel. I saw this and passed by, and thought, I could use a hush puppy. I made u turn and I am sure glad I did. I had the most helpful person help me decide what to get. She recommended the grilled shrimp. They did not disappoint. I also got chicken and a crab cake. Everything was delicious. I am sad that I likely won't pass through this town again, but if I do, I will definitely come back. This was a really tasty dinner and the service couldn't have been friendlier.

This place is a wonderful addition to our community. I will say though it's very popular and they often run out of things later in the evening. Which is a good problem to have. I hope they stay for a long time. Try the red beans and rice it's very yummy.
Nice place to eat. The staff are very kind and helpful. I had the chicken strips, nicely breaded, crisp and hot, the fries could have been fresher, were lukewarm. My family had fish po' boys, fried fish, hush puppies, they loved it! I didn't see fried pickle chips on the menu, would have been awesome, but, maybe I didn't see them. All in all was good food, clean establishment, decent prices considering the economy.
