Great place to stop while on a cross country flight. Better atmosphere than most airports, as this is a real "restaurant" and not a "diner". Buffet is good but they have a menu you can order off of as well. Full bar for your non pilot passengers too. If you are near Hutchison (KHUT), definitely stop by. If you are local and just enjoy watching airplanes, it would be a great choice for you too.
Tried this place on a Thursday afternoon when we were in Hutch. The service was good, place looked clean and it was a nice view of the little runway. I had a tenderloin filet, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Loved the homemade potatoes. The broccoli was steamed to the right tenderness but I had to add some butter and salt, which wasn’t a big deal. Husband enjoyed his ribeye and we’re glad we stopped here!
This restaurant is located inside the main building of Hutchinson Regional Airport. The wait staff were scurrying around making sure all tables were well taken care of. I had a filet and my husband had a Kansas City strip, and both were very good steaks. The cheesecake was good and cost less than expected.
We had a wonderful family dinner. The food was all very good. The service was great. I am glad the airport steakhouse is doing good.
A small- ish restaurant that has a great atmosphere and interesting views. Plenty of planes coming and going. The interior was well decorated with various airport props, photos, and plane items. The food was amazing and staff were very nice. I had the surf and turf and the shrimp, steak, and sweet potatoes were delicious. The potato was so soft and perfectly done. I had just enough for some leftovers today as well. Yum!
Love the boom boom shrimp... Pricey but worth it. Steaks were grilled to perfection. Enjoyable night
The wait was long because of a bus of travelers, but the food was excellent! Our server Rosie was polite and attentive. We had a nice dinner despite the kitchen times. Looking forward to our next visit ?
Excellent service. We got one great filet, and one really fatty filet, but they were so kind and told us it was an end peice that they rarely get, so they didn't know until they served us. They offered free dessert, although we declined, they were so apologetic and removed that one from our bill. Because the other filet was phenomenal, and their service was amazing, we will be back, many times I'm sure!
Ate all you can eat buffet. Had a wonderful salad bar. The food had two choices of meat, three choices of vegetables and two choices of potatoes with gravy.
