The food was good although they didn't have taco sauce for the taco pizza. It was just after the lunch hour. They had one girl cleaning tables and you could see other employees standing in the kitchen chatting.
The food is generally on the higher side for pizza, however, they offer a dinner buffet for a reasonable price even if you don’t eat a lot. I would love to see them add some pickle spears to their salad bar, but other than that, I highly recommend the buffet. It’s only $9.99 per person and includes a fountain drink, the salad bar, all kinds of pizzas and appetizers such as cheesy bread, and even dessert pizza.My favorite part is the atmosphere. It’s so old school and brings me back to my childhood. I love it! Definitely will be returning very soon ;0)
Insanely slow service. Did multiple door dashes here and have never been notified when the order is ready. This was the last time I try to pick up at this store.Post send: I’d recommend creating a designated location for picking up the orders that include signs, signifying that very location - visible and clear for dashers to see. This would help solve any future issues on order pickup.
Just had the buffet, and it was great! Really surprising, I generally don't like buffets, but decided to give this place a try and I'm glad I did! Reading the other reviews, I think they've really turned it around in the past few months! Pizza isn't too greasy and I enjoyed it all except for one, and it might just be down to personal preference. The hamburger pizza with jalapenos just left a little something to be desired. The super cheesy sausage pizza was my absolute favorite, regretted only getting one piece before it ran out. I'll definitely be back!
Ate the pizza buffet. Pizza was ok. Salad bar was good. The young cashiers were not very polite, no thank you or anything. One cashier was twirling her hair and looking bored.
Yesterday my sis in law and I wanted desert so we went to Gambino’s and order the Dutch apple pizza and it was delicious!!! First time having it and it tasted just like apple pie!!! Then to night we order the same again but added a small pizza and it was also delicious!!!! Highly recommended!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Every time I come here, it is a wonderful experience I love the food, the employees are very nice and helpful. Food is always nice and warm. Dessert options are eh, there could be more kinds of desserts but hopefully that improves. Beyond that it's fantastic.
Pizza was great. Service? Not so much. I don't usually have any issues here but there were literally 3 dirty tables around my table the entire time we were eating. At least two groups of people had to ask for tables to be bussed.
Love the workers there and the variety of pizza. Also great salad bar.
Gambino’s Pizza, 408 N. Baltimore in Derby — Eight violations on Feb. 28. They include storing raw eggs on top of lettuce, pizzas on buffet weren’t kept hot enough, chicken wings and pasta weren’t labeled with preparation dates, keto-friendly pizza crusts were stored in plastic T-shirt sacks instead of food-grade containers, food thermometer didn’t work, no testing supplies for sanitizer, plumbing issue, residential-grade insecticide stored on site. Next inspection: March 10.
