Busy place, but service was still good. Food was delicious. Went in with a larger group and they were able to quickly accommodate us and serve us. Seafood nachos were great. Recommend trying them. Really enjoyed the visit.

Great place to go for a large group gathering. The waitress was awesome and worked her rear end of for our group. The drinks were brought out by several staff members so we all got it at the same time. The food was outstanding and we had a great time celebrating our baseball season!

We got there for happy hour and had pickle spears, chips, salsa and cheese dip, bruschetta and steak sticks. We also had the chicken and waffles I would recommend to ask for no sauce on the chicken. And burger with pulled pork and root beer and sweet potatoes. We were not a big fan of the crab cakes they were very flat hardly any meat and an odd flavor and the brie dip it was just not fabulous. I wish they also had a kids menu bc we had to order off the main menu for 3 children. And they had chicken tenders, crispy chicken sandwich and cheese burger. All in all everything was petty good!

Went in about 6 on a week night. Had several of the local beers which were good and cold. Had a sandwich with onion rings or so I thought. More like onion straws of which I did not eat. They didn't look appetizing. My sandwich was good. Brisket. I would have that again. Service was slow. Our server was busy visiting with a table of friends vs waiting on me and a friend of which he did not know. This place was across the street from my hotel. Probably not a place I would come back to.

First time customers at this restaurant and happy we stopped. First of all our waiter, Tyler, couldn't have been better. I love a waiter who greets you with a genuine smile and looks directly at you. We arrived at 445 and he immediately told us about the happy hour specials (drinks and appetizers) that are avl 4-6 Mon thru Friday. He asked us if we had any beverage requests and said he would give us a few minutes to review the menu. We asked if they were able to broadcast the National High School Lacrosse Finals and he quickly got it on a nearby TV screen (there are MANY throughout the restaurant). The Grumpy Goat has an extensive menu of appetizers, burgers, salads, pizzas and pastas. There are many options available to please anyone. We ordered side salads, almond crusted chicken tenders (large meaty crunchy and delicious), a 16" pizza (boxed up half to take home) and the happy hour pinot grigio ($3). Very large interior space and it wasn't too crowded when we arrived on a Tuesday. More people seemed to be arriving as we were leaving around 6:15. I would return. And another shout out to Tyler: great waiter, attentive, personable and made excellent suggestions.

I would say this is overpriced for fairly common bar food. The fried pickles were the high point of the meal. The nachos with chicken were very lacking in the flavor department. The root beer barbecue burger was a muddle of flavors. While the barbecue sauce itself was good the rest was not all that great. The truffle fries lacked anything close to the truffle flavor I would expect. The same was to be said for the truffle ketchup. Service was decent. Probably will not return.

We were passing through Iowa and visited the Grumpy Goat after a local recommended it. Wow, were they right ... the food was amazing. The portions were huge. My son ordered chicken wings, and we were all astonished at how large and meaty they were. It was truly a complete dinner. I ordered a salad with salmon on top and it was also delicious and very generous. Ditto my daughter's nachos. The place has a sports bar atmosphere and there were more televisions than I think I've ever seen in a bar ... you could see multiple programs from every seat ... but it also seemed upscale and very clean. It would've been nice to have the closed captions on for the game shows. We had good service and it was a good value. Very pleased with our experience.

Came in to eat for Mother’s Day! Food was awesome!! Our waitress was even better!!! The wait for food even thought they were busy was great too! They were short staffed (no hostess or person cleaning tables), but the waitresses and waiters stepped up and sat people, served, took orders and cleaned tables and worked well together!! Definitely will be back! Love the almond crusted chicken strips appetizer!!! It’s my favorite!

Love this place, we had an afternoon to kill, lots of tvs great micro beers, mixers are great too.

First the hostess was very rude - we asked for a booth instead of high top and she sighed deeply and rolled her eyes and put the menus on our booth and walked away. Waitress was very good so nothing her fault. It took 35 minutes from time of order to get our food and when we did one of our orders was wrong...not at all what we ordered, which the waitress confirmed. Then when we got the bill, I paid with a debit card, not a credit card but got charged 4% because of use of a card. I had cash but no policy printed about charge extra for a card, especially a debit card. Best solution is we will not go back.
