I have been to many Steak & Shake restaurants in the past and many were great. This location is NOT. Terrible service, dirty dining room, did not get us our shakes until after we had eaten our meals and we had to complain to get them at all. Crew members were oblivious, unhelpful and incompetent. Food was a mess, kid making shakes had no idea what he was doing. Avoid at all costs, this location won't be around long if they don't change their ways.
My first Steak-n-Shake experience was wonderful. I was traveling with a large group who entered right before a traveling sports team. The staff kept their heads and worked hard to get quality food out as quickly as possible.The only reason I took a star away is I did see one worker leave the bathroom without washing her hands. She was not working directly with the food, but it's still standard practice to always wash in the bathroom when working with other people, especially during a pandemic.
I love steak and shake, This one misses the mark. Most that I have been to have an Americana diner sort of feel. This one is just lacking in any type of vibe or atmosphere. I went late, but there were workers sitting down, tables not clean and a pretty big line. No shakes, No ketchup, They don't do The famous Chili that makes my stake and shake trip complete. My burger tasted just right when I got it so I won't leave less than 3 stars.
Best steak burger I’ve ever had. Not sure why I waited so long to try this place but in the words of my mother. “This is the best burger I’ve ever had.”I wouldn’t go THAT far, but I’m a burger connoisseur and this one is easily 9/10. Shake was okay and fries were fire. Will be back for sure.
The pickles were quite good and the service was cheerful, but the burgers were underwhelming and haphazardly stacked. It seemed that half of my shake was replaced by whipped cream and the only additions were the few pieces of candy sprinkled on top as there were none in the shake itself. I will try again based on the amazing food I have had at other locations out of state. I hope this restaurant gets it together, because Steak 'n Shake is supposed to be awesome.
Just another burger place. Hamburger was good. You use a kiosk to place your order. So ready can not say much about the staff.the lady that made my shake seemed nice.
Steak n Shake has been completely RUINED. Took something people drive an HOUR out of their way to go to and just RUIN it by wiping out half the menu, including the Royale, best hamburger they had. Start looking for new jobs now. You will never stay open.
Burgers cold, tables dirty, trash piled up
Yikes. We had a horrible experience here on several fronts. The staff was very rude and the food never did arrive.We waited over 30 minutes for 2 shakes only to be told that "can't you see how busy we are" and "oh, I think I gave those away." We were offered the chance to wait for them to eventually make those shakes but no timeline was given. Further, I am not a health code person, but I really don't think it is appropriate for staff to be scratching their hair while preparing food at the line. Prepare food, pause, scratch head/beard/face, continue preparing food.We were able to escalate and request a refund but that was not an offer they were willing to provide at first.There was another family near us that had to come up to the counter 3 times for missing items.I get it, there's a labor/wage shortage but come on. This is ridiculous.
Took us 2 years to get there due to pandemic - either long drive through lines (hours) or closed dining room.Got there tonight and it was everything we remembered and more! Well worth the trip - highly recommended.
