Samurai has become my all time favorite sushi ? restaurant. Friendly staff, amazing food and a great Sushi Chef. Can't wait to come back.
We love sushi and came here while passing through town. We never know what to expect the first time at a new sushi place. It was amazing. Good quality fish, and the cuts were really good. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we understood what we went ordering. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in town.
We made reservations for 5 a few days in advance and when we arrived we were told there was no reservation under our name and they told us "you must've called the wrong place" we double checked and the number we called was in fact for the correct restaurant. This wasn't a huge deal because luckily (or maybe not so luckily) they were able to fit us in anyway but they made a point to tell us that we were late for the reservation anyway...we were 2 minutes late.Once we got seated it started out with a questionable salad that had a ton of water as if they rinsed the lettuce but left the water and didn't drain it, again not a huge deal just a bit concerning especially now looking back at the experience. The final straw was being served undercooked shrimp and calamari. We barely ate the food and were very disappointed especially because of how expensive it was. The steaks that were ordered were cooked well but had zero seasoning/flavor.The group of 4 seated with us also asked us how our food was after the chef had left and stated that their food was fishy...they had ordered chicken not seafood.Within 20-30 minutes 4 out of 5 (the other 1 ordered sushi, not hibachi) of us were nauseous and couldn't even make it home without stopping at a gas station because 2 of us were so sick.I definitely wouldn't recommend this place and will never be going back! The only thing that was good was the fried rice, noodles, and sushi for those that ordered it. Additionally I called the restaurant the next day to speak with a manager who hung up on me and I hadn't even started talking to her yet. :( Very disappointed and was a very sad birthday meal for my friend! If you are looking for an amazing hibachi experience skip Samurai and go to Ohana, they have never let us down!!
They charge an automatic tip for parties of 5 or more. I understand large parties like 8 or more, but 5 isn't exactly difficult to manage. On top of this, you better pay attention because they will suggest a tip at the bottom of your bill of 18% or 20%, which is on top of the original tip they already charged you and the new tip percentage is based on the cost including the tip they already charged. Went on a Monday when the sushi rolls were supposed to be discounted. Only noticed after paying that they charged us full price for them anyway. Great sushi, but pay attention to the bill when it comes...
The owners and staff at Samurai make a wonderful dining experience. Very reasonable prices for fresh fish.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved this place. Great food amazing service!
Had the best experience!! Our waitress was great!! Food was amazing!!Mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. We had sushi dinner for our wedding so super sentimental for us and she brought us a dessert for free! Ugh what a sweetie! We will be back for sure with guests!!
When making our Reservation we were rudely told "DON'T BE LATE, MAKE SURE EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY IS HERE EARLY". Our entire party was there 15 minutes early, but didn't get seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time. No apologies, no freebies, just continued bad attitude. Did and chef were good.
Really enjoyed the sushi. My order was correct and quickly made. Great environment if you want to sit with friends and enjoy a meal. Not stuffy at all. Would definitely highly recommend.
Food is good and the hibachi show is fun. Great for a birthday party or date night. There are a variety of vegetation options. They also were knowledgeable about gluten free options.
