my sandwich was burnt and dry
It is a nice quaint sandwich and salad shop with good ingredients. My only concern is the nostalgia I feel for the roast beef sandwich back in the late nineties at the (Now Closed) Ankeny Pickerman's. The roast beef was roasted and the special sauce had an ample amount of horseradish and melted cheese. It can be amazing with a cup of soup.
I got an Italian sandwich and it was excellent.
i LOVE Pickerman's. I frequent their Meatball sub but I've noticed it tastes differently lately. I'm wondering if they changed their sauce or meatballs? If so, I'm a little bummed because it hasn't been AS good as usual.Great prices, though.
Great food, friendly staff, fair price
I have orderee several different lunches all of which have been amazing.
Already loved the food but I’m on a soft food diet currently so called to get info on the red pepper Gouda soup today. Excellent, BTW. Anyways, i was looking at the menu on Foodsby delivery app to my office and had a question about the egg salad also. John ended up modifying my order by phone to accommodate my diet restrictions and just delivering it to me at my office with the other Foodsby orders. Excellent customer service that was greatly appreciated.
I ordered a BLT. Their BLT has no bacon still good though
I expected the prices to be higher than they were based on other similar places. I was nice to pay less.My sandwich was really good as well and they didn't skimp on the meat like the big sub places do. The potato soup was thick and hearty. On a side note, they have a cool painting on their wall - it's a tree with the branches forming the name Pickermans.
Sandwich was good, potato salad was good.. However for the price I would expect a sandwich that had more meat inside and something alittle larger than a sauce cup of potato salad.
