Very unique and fun deli, we stopped on our way through and were pleasantly surprised! Plenty of sandwich and deli salad options to choose from. All of the food items I ordered had unique flavors, some unconventional and not expected- but great nonetheless. I'll be sure to stop again!

Awesome locally owned Deli. Sandwiches and choices were non stop, amazing sides, great patio. Super nice inside, clean and modern, fair prices. Owner made our sandwiches and chatted us up, good experience.

We wandered in after Scout’s day at the Senior Iowa Games, having not eaten for six or seven hours. The friendly counter man explained the line after Scout said we were new. I ordered a turkey sandwich with apple, and Scout, the pastrami cheese sandwich. I took the cup of potato bacon soup; he had the beer cheese. My choice of salad was the pea; his was broccoli. For drinks, I chose a bottle of zero-calorie Sprite, and he, the peach tea. I received twopickle spears and he had one. The food was delicious—Scout took half of his sandwich home.

Food is really good, however in my opinion is extremely overpriced for what it is. I love that the food is super fresh, however $9 for a sandwich without sides or a drink is overboard. If you want to make it a combo, it's on extra $ 4.59 and that does not include the drink. I would probably be back had the prices not have be so overpriced. It feels like palmer's thinks that they are in the San Fran airport for the type of prices they charge?.

I absolutely love Palmer‘s deli! I missed it so much when I moved away but now I’m back. The first place I went to. Love the freshness of everything!

I paid $18 for 1/2 a sad roast beef sandwich and an under seasoned chicken and wild rice soup. I'd rather go to Arby's. Hard pass on Palmer's.

This place awesome salads. Their other food items are great too but the salads are legit the best.

I’ve had Palmer’s before when it had been catered, and the food was good. Was excited to try the restaurant, walked in and was confused, no real signage that explains how to order. Stood in one line for a while, it ended up not being what I wanted so had to start over. Two other customers came in after me, they were also confused and we had to figure it out on our own, no direction from the staff aside from one grumpy gus behind the counter yelling “sandwich?”Ordered the #3, grumpy gus looked at me confused, I guess I needed to order by name? Asked me multiple times if I wanted onion, pickle, etc. Yes please was my response each time. Made it through the line and then had to sort out how to pay for meal. The sandwich was great and the chili was outstanding. Which is why I gave it 4 stars. Like others have mentioned, customers service is a bit poor and for a newbie walking in trying to figure out how to order a sandwich was a bit discouraging. (Why not a simple sign that’s says order sandwich here, order salad here, etc.).I will be back and now that I know how it works I hope the overall experience is better.Just hope grumpy gus is off that day. :)

Horrible parking lot. Not nearly enough spaces, horrible interior layout hard to navigate. Good food

Love this place! So many choices and all delicious and homemade!! You can't be disappointed- especially if you're hungry!!
