Donuts are amazing and homemade!Literally coolest place on the inside as well, I love the Hawaiian theme! And the fact it smells like fresh baked homemade donuts is the best, and the fact they make it fresh themselves! Ugh, they are the BEST, and I mean the best, mini donuts I've ever had in my life! And you get so many of them!It's wrong that they're that delicious, yet oh so right!Mm, I'm craving one even now!The coffee is superb, which is a extra bonus; the only problem I have is my coffee can be a bit warm and not entirely hot, but it's still good!I don't mind that as much, but it can taste a bit old too when it's warm and not hot.Not the fresh made drinks like cappuccino or lattes, those are always fresh, but more the coffee to go itself.But honestly even when it's a bit cool, it 100 times better than other cafes coffee I've tasted/tested.I also tend to come off as a more bubbly person, a bit child like and that tends to get people to give me more warmer coffee, as to not burn myself.Which is sweet, but I can handle hot coffee. Okay, maybe not too hot. Lol. But I promise I'll be okay ? Honestly the donuts alone are a reason to visit and visit often, pair it with a nice cup of coffee and that seals the deal.
The coffee is really good! It was nice to see atypical syrups for the coffees as well. I got a banana latté and it was amazing! I also really love how light and airy the mini-doughnuts are. We got the standard cinnamon and sugar and spoiled ourselves with the sea-salted caramel. Soooo good and I don't even like sweets. Also, the staff here is SO NICE!!!
Best coffee and breakfast place in West Des Moines! The service was super nice. Coffee was excellent, sandwich was perfect and the fresh made donuts were heavenly. They can get very busy so plan accordingly... But for sure make them part of your breakfast game!

I just got a delivery so I haven't been to this place in person, but I can't wait to visit!! The island style doughnuts are little fluffy clouds of deliciousness and the drink (black rock, iced) complimented them with some bitterness (the good coffee kind of bitterish taste). Anyways, I was super happy to find this place and will be back as soon as possible!
Not only are there donuts made fresh, they taste amazing, fluffy and they have a great selection. Mango Tropical freeze is pretty good too. We had these guys cater our wedding and everyone loved them. Tron was great to deal with.

My daughter had to write a school essay about her favorite restaurant, and the teacher sent the essay to Mahalo’s. The folks at Mahalo’s responded by showing up to the school with a bazillion mini donuts. What great people!
