My sister, my daughter (who is sometimes a menace lol), and I have been coming here for years. and since then, Claudette has always helped us. she talks to my 2 year old like she’s a princess and has always taken care of us if we were waiting too long. she has the kindest heart, and is truly one of the reasons we keep coming back. We need more Claudette’s in this world.
Got salads to go and they were fantastic. Giant portions and very fresh. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Des Moines.
The food was so good. the sandwiches were much bigger than anticipated, chicken alfredo was very tasty. Lunch for 5, was $71.00, I think the prices are great. I wish I had one in my area so I could try more of the food
We stopped here while we were out shopping.Ordered a Manager's special, with the Chicken panini and French onion soup. Substituted pepper jack for provolone. They packed everything up for us.We get home from shopping. Open up the bag. No soup, and the wrong cheese. We didn't get a receipt, and we live a half hour away, so it's not like we can just drive back up to get it fixed.Do not recommend, and make sure to double check your bag before you leave the store.

I am currently at the Jason’s deli in Des Moines on university. I ordered coffee with cream, paid for that at the rest of my order. Walked over to the coffee pots which were both empty. I went to the counter and asked if they would be making more coffee. One worker said he didn’t know and then looked at another worker who didn’t say anything, walked over and made some coffee and walked away. Then I got my coffee and noticed there was no cream. I walked back to the counter and spoke with someone else and asked if there was any cream. He left and came back and said they were out. I asked then if there was any milk? Without checking, he said, “no, we are out of that too.” So I went to the cash register and picked up a carton of milk. I asked the lady behind the cash register if she was sure they were out of milk because that’s what I was told when I asked for cream for my coffee. Her response was, “no. I’m not sure we are out of milk.” Then she continued to stand there. So, I spent almost $2.00 on a carton of milk so I could have cream for my coffee! I’m UNBELIEVABLY disappointed at the moment! It’s not even busy here, and I can see why!
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I ordered coffee and cream. I was given my coffee cup. There was no coffee. I asked if they would be making coffee. One staff member looked at another who went over to make coffee and then left without saying anything. Then I got my coffee and noticed there was no cream. I asked if they had cream. A different worker walked to the back and came out and said they were out. I asked if they had milk then. Without looking, he told me they were out of milk too. I went to the cash register and picked up a carton of milk and asked if the woman at the counter was sure they were out of milk and creamer, since that was what I was told when I asked for the cream for my coffee that I purchased. She responded with, “no. I’m not sure.” Then she continued to stand there. So I purchased a carton of milk so i could have milk with my coffee! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
That broccoli salad is NOT what is advertised on their website. That is basically mayo salad with broccoli. The sandwich was ok at best. This was my first and last time eating here.
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY. The last two times I've been here, I have explained my allergy and ordered something that I know I can eat. I then saw them grab the food I'm allergic to before grabbing my food without even changing gloves. (They advertise having food that accommodates to my allergy.)I don't understand how they consider this to be serving food safely.I won't ever be eating here again.
Jason's is as close to a good NJ style sandwich is the DSM area! A real sandwich, quality ingredients, and a meal in one!
