the food I would give a 5. excellent menu choices and very well prepared. but the noise level in here is DEAFENING!! it's our second time eating here and will likely be our last because both times it was the same. it's just one large open room and there is nothing to help absorb the sound. hands down the loudest restaurant environment I've ever experienced.
Happened to be driving by and saw this place, so we decided to check it out. The place was nice and clean, and they were playing Mexican music, which we love when you are dining in a Mexican restaurant. The service was great, and very quick. The food (Carnitas Tacos) was fantastic. We liked it so much we went there the next afternoon. Definitely recommend.
Used to be a great place for dinner entrees. But the quality of cooking has deteriorated drastically over the past few weeks. Manager Apparent seems to think that when the entrees are prepared poorly and customers ask for their attention to fix them, it’s all about the money! One of our whole fish dinner entrees came half cooked with fish scales clearly visible! See pic. When asked for attention, the guy from the bar showed up (not sure why him but maybe he’s the boss or the owner) and said that’s how it’s cooked. Even though right next to it the other whole fish we ordered - the exact same dish - had no such issues! The second attempt was even more horrifying, didn’t get to take a picture as it was taken away as soon as our server saw the raw condition. Someone was really upset with us back in the kitchen!
Not many people there when I came in. Waiter was prompt. Food was very blah. Didn't feel like the serving matched the price. Very small enchiladas. I ordered a beef and a cheese enchilada. The beef was tasteless and the cheese enchilada was still in a block form like it was not heated enough and was not a tasty cheese. Had expected to get some sour cream with meal. Even though I ordered lemon with my water, I couldn't drink it. Wasn't filtered so the nasty West Des Moines water straight from the tap. Like the title says..... I won't be back.
Had heard fabulous things about this restaurant. I’ll start off saying this is my review of what I ordered, my husband was very pleased with his. I ordered queso…yummy and a beef taco salad, which herein lies the problem. There was very little meat and a whole lot of grease. I highly recommend straining the grease off the hamburger/beef. I literally had to put napkins in my taco bowl to soak it up. Gross! I left with a huge stomach ache as I don’t do grease well. 4 1/2 hours later and I am still in pain.
The food here is always delicious. My wife and I done here every couple of months or so. The service is great. Chips and salsa are complimentary. They have amazing fajitas. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Been here a few times, bartender/manager is friendly and welcoming. Had chicken and steak taco few times and thought the choripollo was pretty good here too. Shrimp diabla was also a winner but will make you sweat.
Our server seemed to have a hard time understanding English, and didn't get my sister's order correct. The place was clean and the food was great.
My go to for great Mexican and margs! Guacamole is the best!
Fast, friendly service. Clean restaurant. Lots of flavor. Salsa was yummy. White cheese sauce, just like Mexico! Will be back!
