We had a change of plans so ended up stopping in for dinner late Friday afternoon. The weather was nice and still plenty of room on the patio, so that’s where we ended up. Service was good and the margaritas were large and tasty. Our favorite meal is the Pollo Loco which we’ve ordered in just about every Mexican restaurant on the west side. This was by far, the worst meal we’ve been served of any of the Mexican restaurants in the Des Moines area. A favorite of ours is the cheese sauce which is supposed to smother the meal. With the meal we were served, if there was cheese sauce there, we couldn’t find it. So essentially, we ended up with grilled chicken breast with onions. I’m also not sure why their rice was so different. Rather than the typical fried rice, theirs was simply white rice, which was very bland. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be, but we didn’t approve. We also asked for flour tortillas and ended up being served corn, which we’re not a fan of. Too many other good choices for Mexican around here, we’ll never be back.
Food was very average, had burrito and chili relano , no cheese on either The sauce on both tasted like it was tomato sauce straight from can. The food was very bland, West DesMoines has several very good Mexican restaurants and this one in lower tier.
They offer Braille menus for the blind. Authentic Mexican food.we have been there a few times over the last few years.
My wife and I decided to grab some dinner after Wednesday night Lenten Service. What a delicious meal!! I had the Chori-Pollo (see picture) and my wife had the Pollo Tropical. We will definitely return. BTW-The Margaritas are huge.
I came here with my girlfriend and her side of the family (7 people), I had the 4 enchilada plate. (Can't recall the name, was Spanish) Extremely tasty! I don't drink much, but we all shared a big pitcher of strawberry daiquiri and it was also really good.My girlfriend had the shrimp quesadilla, it was the half the size of small pizza! It was enormous! She couldn't finish it, and let me take it home. It was the best dang quesadilla I've ever had, even after being reheated!
Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I’ve been here three times since then. Great food and fast service!

This is my families favorite place to eat! They always give great customer service. They make tortillas fresh right in front of you. They have very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. The whole family can find something they like!
Really, really liked this place. Good drinks...I don't drink margaritas, but my friends did. They loved them. And the fajita quesadilla was delish.
