One of the best things Valley West Mall has going for it. Consistently good food and desserts.

Ordered two French Dip sandwiches. Waited 30 minutes for them, received them cold, burnt, and the lady kept wandering around and seemed incredibly high. I’ve loved this place for years but I’m incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service today

D.R. Deli is a favorite of mine for many years. My son loves to come here for a grilled cheese. He calls it a cheeseburger but everyone knows what he really wants. Today he spilled his drink and they had a refill ready to go when I picked up my sandwiches.
They were the best when they opened years ago and I worked at the Finish Line back in high school and they are still phenomenal. It is worth going to a mall just to eat at the deli.

This little sandwich shop is a real gem in the Valley West Mall. My wife, daughter, and I always eat here when we visit this mall in Des Moines.The sandwiches are simply delicious! They are served on fresh bread with a good portion of ingredients. They have several specialty sandwiches, or you can specify the bread and ingredients to make your own sandwich.After having your sandwich, enjoy a home made frozen treat. Ice cream, frozen bananas, frozen cheesecake - dipped in chocolate!
