Our Financial Advisor, Jeff [email protected] Expedition Wealth Management in WDM told RAVED about 7 Stone Pizza when we first moved to Waukee in December 2021. We have tried some other pizza places in the area, and I was complaining to my wife, who agreed that we hadn't yet found a pizza that was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We got a 16"7 STONE HOUSE SPECIAL, and will go back again for certain!
We finally tried this place out and are kicking ourselves for waiting so long. Holy cow, excellent pizza. The cheese bread is enormous and so tasty. People, they have fantastic local beer on tap, friendly owners, a great dining area, and incredible food. Today we got the large cheese bread, a large feta (artisan crust) pizza and a large Graziano's Italian sausage pizza (yeah, they use local sausage! Score!). We will go back again and again.
Best pizza place in Des Moines area, and as far as I’m concerned, best pizza place in Iowa. Absolutely fantastic. The thin crust simply hits different. Service is phenomenal as well. The owner is always talking to her customers, while still pushing pizzas out at an impressive rate. I’ve been here at least 30 times and am still impressed every single time.
We love this pizza so much. Especially the deep dish. I love supporting local restaurants. The owners are always there with a smile and I can tell they treat their employees well. I really love that!
I'm giving you a 5 star because I enjoy the food and you guys but please update your Google hours. I drove out there on a Monday at noon for lunch from Altoona and you were closed. Your hours show 11-2pm every day. Thank you
? There’s very few top notch pizza joints in DSM, but 7 Stone is probably by far at the top (if not on the top) of my list in both thin and deep dish style pizza.? Fresh mozzarella and always fresh toppings, cooked in a woodfire oven.? It’s great place for family style dining, and we have ordered take out quite a few times from here. The consistency is where it’s at. Always consistent pizza here every time.? Here’s a couple pics from the last visit. The thin cheese is great. Awesome crispy crust.? My favorite is probably the deep dish. They might hate me for this reference, but it reminds me of the old Pizza Hut deep dish from the 90s when it was actually good. So much nostalgia. Kinda like the old pan pizzas you would get from the Book-it days ?
Pizza was delicious. We got Buffalo chicken on a thin crust. Our friends got a sausages mushroom on thin crust. Both were wood fired..our favorite way to bake them. Staff was friendly, helpful and make great pizza. Worth stopping!
We love thin crust wood fired oven pizza. Our old standby pizza shop closed due to Covid over a year ago and we've been searching since. The wait is over. 7 Stone Pizza is awesome. You can request your pizza be cooked any way you want. We like our pizza with a little burnt on the top and that is exactly what we got. The pizza was a large with Graziano sausage. There was plenty of cheese. The place was packed so we sat at the bar. The service was fast and friendly. It took about 35 minutes for our pizza. We did not try the deep dish pizza but a couple who sat beside us said theirs was a good they have ever had. The price was reasonable.
Oh, 7 Stone! So close to true excellence. Chef still doesn’t quite have the wood fired technique down yet, but he’s getting better. When owner isn’t there, it’s anyone’s guess what you will get from the tempCollege kids cooking. Side salads are VERY bland and disappointing. They need to make that deliscious tomato based Italian dressing so many similar places make and dress up the salad just a bit, please. Pizza is just short of FANTASTIC. Keep at it! It’s generally excellent.
Whent there for a company holiday get together and I was VERY impressed with the quality of their pizza!!! I highly recommend
