Absolute worst restaurant I've been to. No regards for food safety and sanitation, they charge an arm and a leg for food, the tugboat just looks like a fast food sandwich ($14 for that by the way, if im not mis-remembering), and my sandwich wasn't even cooked.The waitress I had was nice though, and I didn't have too many issues with service.
Food was very highly priced compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Chicken tenders, onion rings, and fries were all bland. Service was not particularly attentive. If we'd gone for one of their weekday deals, it might have been worth it (hot dogs were good). Otherwise, we won't be back.
The best thing if my meal was the potato salad. I love breaded tenderloin and this was recommended by locals. I should have stuck to the reviews. It was awful. After two bites I couldn't force myself to eat it.
My husband visited this resturant for dinner. Their Tuesday night special was call a tug boat. It was a tenderloin sandwich for $2.00. If you add a side dish it is an extra $ 3.00. My husband & I both ordered the tug boat sandwich and a side of fries for me and a side of coleslaw for him That plus 2 drinks (with refills) cost us only $16.00 & change plus a tip. Our first thought when we received our food was boy these are small tenderloins. It ended up being just enough for us and the bun that the tenderloin was on was so soft and fresh. When we pulled up to the restaurant, the parking lot was full and we thought this was going to be a waiting process. But it wasn't. We were seated right away and ordered our food without hardly any wait time. I strongly recommend stopping here when in town . I don't think you'll be disappointed.
It's great place to and eat anytime and have a drink. Joel and his staff are very friendly and helpful!!!
The cod was over cooked, battered in something similar to concrete egg roll. Service was good. But I'm very disappointed.
My boyfriend and I had the nicest date there today!!! Our waitress was so so nice and friendly, and the food was SO FAST! It was fresh and hot, and it was delicious as well! We were warned when we came in that it was busy so we might have to wait a while, which we were fine with, but within ten minutes of ordering we already had our hot fresh tasty meal! We were both super impressed and will definitely stop back more often! Plus it’s sooooo cute inside! I love the little boat lights at the tables so much!

Tonight I want to give credit where credit is due. I’m feeling extremely thankful for the peeps at Steamboat Gardens. I’ve only been a handful of times and they have ALWAYS been very friendly and welcoming… tonight was different…tonight was amazing! Not only welcoming and friendly but very attentive to Captain America aka 3 yr old Owen who got to come home with his new best friend, pokie, compliments of who I believe to be the owner/operator of Steamboat??? You made his night which in turn made mine- and as you can see he hasn’t let go of him!! Thank you!! So so much!!!
The owner is a douche bag and will yell at you if you try to let him know what’s going on with the service or food. The kitchen is absolutely horrendously dirty. And their prices are unreasonable as hell
