It was great. Growing up I had a resturant close to me that served broasted chicken and potatoes. It closed in the 80's. I missed that. Southtown's food gave me back that good food warm friendship that I remembered.
We visited the Southtown while staying at the motel almost next door. It's not a lot to look at from the outside, and inside it is a typical bar and grill. So don't expect anything fancy. But the service was friendly and the food was very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely eat here again; you can't get much more convenient to the adjacent Comfort Inn.

Wow. One of the best restaurants in the area. Awesome onion rings are better than most. But the owners are what makes it. This type of place is dying in today's world , husband wife diner for over 20yrs. COVID about killed it.These are the types of places we all need to take care of. Very good food and a waitress who worked so hard keeping up with all the customers she had and she did a great job. She deserves a raise.
