I was pleased with the food there, but it could have been better. I ordered the patty melt with fries and it was good for the most part; however, the sandwich didn't seem to have a lot of flavor, it was so juicy that the bread became soft within a few minutes, and the fries were just a little dry. despite these criticisms the food still tasted good and I felt like I got a good amount of food for the price. Looking at other people's plates definitely make me want to come back and try something different.This was only the first time I've been here and I went when it was busy.
We had the Saturday specials, prime rib and BBQ ribs, and couldn't have been more pleased with the quality, taste, relaxing atmosphere, and prices. The sides were generous The mac and cheese was delicious! Our waitress was knowledgeable and the owners checked in with us after we finished our meals with a special treat for our little girls. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Lj's.
This place was so bad that we left before our food got there. We waited over an hour and still did not receive our food. There was food waiting in the window for over 20 minutes and not a waitress in sight. No one, granted, it probably wasn't ours, but it was someone's. We had a perfect view of the kitchen window so that's how we know. The waitress never stopped by and let us know anything, but we did overheat her tell the table beside us that there had been a small fire in the kitchen and you will get your food whenever. Her last comment was, "It is what it is".We waited a bit longer and decided to leave. There were no wait staff present to tell anyone that we were leaving.My husband had been to this restaurant many times in the past and had psyched me up for some good food. It was a shame that I never could taste it as my husband will never go back to this place.
It was fantastic bar food. The walleye cheeks were great and the service even better. Not far off the interstate too! Worth the drive.
Tried the sliced fried Portabello mushrooms last night and they were absolutely delicious. Fish was good as always, but that appetizer is really very good.

Great food service, and a good family place to eat
My girlfriend loves this place, and wanted to make an hour drive for her birthday to have it. We had a great time! Delicious burgers, and surprisingly, they have good pasta too.
Ordered the Reuben and was not disappointed. Good food with a nice little variety of beers on tap. TVs all over to watch sports. Also two nice dining areas to bring the family for lunch or dinner.
Great food. And great server.
