We went for supper. My husband is gluten free and was kindly given a gluten free menu. As a group we ordered the steak stir fry (photo below), a burger with cheese, and chicken risotto. When our food came out, the chicken risotto did not come with the rest of the meal and it took a few minutes to track our server down who then said they had made the dish not gluten free. By this time the rest of us were done with our meals so we had them box up the meal. The steak stir fry always has good flavor but tonight was overdone. I would like to say that the other week it was out of this world at lunch.We do love the environment of the restaurant and the fact you can hold great conversation. Tonight's experience was just below par for this establishment.
Lovely ambiance, great staff (thanks Amy!), delicious food! Solid wine choices. The desserts were impressive - we tried the crème brûlée, the flourless chocolate cake, and the tiramisu.
We had a wonderful experience dinning at Minervas. Diego was our top shelf server who was on the ball every step of the night. We will most definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a delightful date night in Sioux City.
Diego took such gracious care for me af the bar for my solo work meal. And their new manager.came around and checked in too. I must share however that the staff was more tasty than the food this visit. Asked for a medium plus steak and got a grainy well done. Sweet potato fries a bit dry too. The roasted apple salad resembled baby food apples. I still LOVE this place and will make better choices next time! But the staff won the day!
Great atmosphere, great menu, great service! Diego was amazing! Very attentive, very personable. Had the blackened salmon salad. It was delicious! Highly recommend the Mer Soliel Silver unoaked Chardonnay!
Delicious and the server Diego was fantastic. This is truly one of the best restaurants in the Sioux City area. I have now been back several times and have enjoyed every visit.
Unique setting and menu. The west side doesn't have a lot of better dining outside of fast food. Minervas hit it out of the park. Great service amd Mardi Grad menu was very good.
The management does not do the basics very well. Example serving food hot and in a timely manner. When a customer approaches management with a question they are told ,we have more important things to worry about. The customer is left to fend for themselves with no management support.
Best service I have seen in sometime in a restaurant! Props to Diego our waiter! He treated us very well. Highly recommend happy hour!
