they do not sacrifice quality for speed, about 3 minutes after i sat down my name was called for my order and it was very hot and delicious! they don’t have a salsa bar which i thought was strange. the prices were cheap in my opinion and i will definitely be coming back. didn’t give five stars because the person that took my order was not friendly
Small place, custumers were very diversified.First time here. The shrimp cocktail which is awesome. Very awesome! Flavorful hot sauce and a very good menu. The meals are of decent size, you wont leave hungry.They only take cash so bring about $30 for a couple.
Really great authentic Mexican delights. All without breaking the bank, but remember to bring cash if possible. No checks and they do have an ATM if needed. There is a nice variety of all sorts of dishes that may not be visually what you're used to, but your taste buds will love. The Pina (Pineapple drink) is a personal favorite, along with the tacos. This place can be packed during peak hours, but the line moves pretty decently. The line will usually lead towards the steps at the rear that goes to the larger back parking lot. Prices are very reasonable and near everything is made fresh on the spot. The "Green Sauce" is popular, just ask for it.
Best well known secret spot in Sioux city. If you're from out of town, this is one of the food spots you are REQUIRED to go to. Mexican food by the truckload. Open kitchen so you can watch them cook everything. CASH ONLY, but worth every second spent at the ATM (there's one inside just in case you forget)
Incredible burrito dinner. Fantastic vibe. HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for an unassuming hole in the wall spot with incredible food.
Honestly my food was good the only issue was my wifes food, she cant eat beans so i ordered meat cheese and rice, when we got home it had beans in it, i called and to my dismay i was told that the owner heard my order with beans so the issue cannot be resolved. Basically im wrong hes right, so i will not be ordering from them again...good food bad customer service
One of the best Mexican food restaurants around town. The carne asada burrito dinner with the rice and beans was the best. Care asada was fresh juicy and tender. So much flavor. Red hot sauce is very hot so beware! Will be a returning customer. Thank you!
Definitely a Sioux City staple! Some days it’s a little flavorless, whereas others it’s just like I remember it years ago, nice and spicy. But who am I to say because people sure will line up, and I mean sure maybe it’s more authentic. Anyways the pickled spicy carrots are where it’s AT. I’ve loved them since a kid and will literally go there just for extra carrots ? I always know if it’s gonna be good or not based on how spicy and crunchy the carrots are haha
The line to order was almost out the door! They were cutting the meat they would use right there, so fresh! The burrito was awesome! The cut up steak was just the right mix of flavors, I ate some with no seasoning, then added some peppers and spiced it right up! Had a taco that was small but cooked to a perfect blend again!!! So glad we tried this restaurant, it will be someplace we come back to, next time we are in Sioux city! So good!
No cards... Cash only but their ATM was busted last time I was there. Medium sized line at lunch. Quick service. Good ingredients and flavor w a dollop of refried beans in the burritos.
