Nice HuHot. Typical experience as I've had at any other I've eaten at. Familiar selection of meat, veggies and sauces. Lets face it, if you don't like it, that's on you, you made it. ? I liked the room (seating space) this one has, bit bigger than my hometown HuHot.
When I am in Sioux City this is usually one or two lunch stops for me. The typical stir fry with plenty of combinations of sauces and ingredients. It gets a little crowded at lunch and watch the floor by the grill it can be slick but part of the fact that folks me included overload their bowls. I keep going back and it is right by my hotel there as well. Servers are good too!
Huhot is a wonderful place to go in Sioux City when you don't have very many dining out vegan options! They have multiple kinds of noodles, great customer service every time I've gone, and as many vegetables and tofu that want. I also love the sauces they provide. For one who doesn't like things cooked in oil, there are so many alternative flavors and sauces (e.g., lemon juice, ginger juice, spicy oil(less) sauces, soy sauce, etc.). I will be returning with my parents tomorrow, as we love the all you can eat and we have multiple vegans and vegetarians in our family!
We're in-town, visiting family and my brother and his girlfriend are terrific at making sure that my vegan dietary needs can be met when we go out to eat. He spotted a review for this place which mentioned vegan options and sure enough, I saw tofu on the menu online so we headed over there. While assembling my bowl, I didn't see any tofu in the protein area, so I assumed that it would be available at the grill. Nope, "We're out." I imagine that tofu isn't not a big seller in meat country, but if it's not something you can keep in stock, I respectfully ask that you remove it from the menu so vegans/vegetarians/anyone who wants tofu can go elsewhere.
Severe gastrointestinal distress is a guarantee when they allow me to apply the sauces I want. Hot..fast..and actually good. If I was a picky man I'd complain about the cooks using the same utensils on everyone's food..but I don't really care..so.
Beware of cross contamination. Food is very good and well prepared. Bathrooms are sketchy.
I love that I can keep trying different combos when it comes to eating here.My friends group meets up here a lot to gather and catch up.Never been disappointed yet!
Was soo good my family and I came here while in the state. Clean, friendly staff and super fun for kids. We live this place.
$15+ per person, no matter the age, for bland food that isnt Mongolian whatsoever, the farthest representation of it. It's the equivalent of an Italian person eating a can of Chef Boyardee. They had blatant racist & weird sauce names like "Me So Hot" as if to mock "chinese" broken english & "Burn your village" as if to point out what Ghenghis Khan did, ruling over 1/2 of the world at 1 time in history. Atrocious dark atmosphere with bad art & blarring rock music. Buffet style, serve yourself, then you stand in the long line until the workers at the grill cook your food, this takes about 20 minutes each time. Such a sticky icky place. People in line coughing all over your food, sauce spilled all over the floor too (hazard)⚠️. The cooks (7ft woman) horseplay at the grill spraying water on one another from the water plastic tube used to steam clean the grill. Not a good experience whatsoever. The waitress pretends to be nice & hospitable only to go to the back kitchen to peer out with other employees to gossip about patrons. Unprofessional & undeserving of our tip; Ranae & this 7foot white light blonde older immature woman. Price was high for our party of 6! Neverrrrr again!
I've eaten at HuHot several times and realized that it's rarely not Busy. Really everything is great the food the staff can't say enough good things about the hard work people do to make a simple dinner out for 170 people at a time happen. They do it with the cooking of your meal the main show. I don't live in Sioux City and I've noticed a mix of people from really 100 miles any direction would be there.
