First time visiting this establishment got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich it was very flavorful pasta salad was very tasty. It even comes with a crunchy pickle. If you are wanting a good homemade sandwich this is the place to go. We will be back.

Visited for lunch. Had the Cuban and potato salad. Probably the best Cuban I've had. Service was fast and friendly. Even though it was lunch, the line went quick.
Went there on a recommendation from a local. Was within walking distance from the South ridge mall. Got the Wacker Drive, with coleslaw side. Both were excellent, and the owner was very nice guy! Ill be back again when in town!
Stopped in for a quick lunch and wow was I impressed. Don't live in town but my girlfriend kept telling me I needed to try it. Staff were incredibly friendly, both of our sandwiches were top notch and the store was very clean and nice. Can't wait to come back and try more items off of the menu
Me and my partner have visited State street Deli several times for a quick hot lunch as we live nearby. Each time our food has been excellent and reasonably-priced. I also enjoy the atmosphere as it seems to be a nice little family-owned business
There is nothing on this planet like biting into a Michigan Avenue sandwich after getting off a long day at work and you’re hungry as all getout. My husband likes the hot beef sandwich with cheddar on it. They also have an incredible bacon egg and cheese bagel, and i like to get it with the raspberry Chipotle mayo on it. They’re super friendly and I’m such a regular there that some of the staff, including one of the owners, knows my order.As far as sandwich quality, they’re super generous with the meat and cheese portions on the sandwich and they use really nice meat. Tastes incredible. The raspberry Chipotle Mayo is much more savory than sweet, but does have a sweet element to it. They’ll even sell their meat and cheese (but not the bacon, i asked) by the pound.

One day i was craving a deli sandwich, sometimes you just have them cravings. I googled Sandwiches near me and i choose to try State Street Deli.I was greeted with a VERY POLITE AND AMAZING STAFF, you can tell they all enjoy working together and they are a true team! My order taker was the nicest lady in the world and helped me decide between two sandwiches. And oh boy was i in for a treat!The Michigan Ave with Potatoe Salad!After my VERY First Bite I was already on facebook giving a 5 star review!!!It gets better! This is now my secret lunch place I take anyone that comes into town to visit! Casually taking them to lunch but little do they know whats about to rock their taste buds.The moment that sandwich hit her tounge, her eyes popped right out of here head with the same feeling of bliss i had my first bite. With a mighty "WOW THATS AMAZING!" ALL I COULD DO IS GRIN AND REPLY "RIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHHTTTT!!!!"This is something special!
The food is delicious, always fresh and always served with a smile. The staff are very friendly, and the restaurant is always clean.If you haven’t tried this restaurant out, I would certainly recommend it. They have a very good variety of deli sandwiches and sides.You won’t be disappointed!
