The servers are excellent. Down home solid people types. Love them all.Food is prepared with care but all the standard pub type food. It’s a super neighborhood place.
The food was amazing and there were several beers I want to try next time. It'sa fun neighborhood bar, I wish there were more of these types of bars near me.
The food and atmosphere were just what we wanted. I had a great reuben, and my wife was thrilled with her cheeseburger. Well worth the detour off of I-80.
I feel totally let down. Shakespeare’s has been in Iowa city ever since I can remember I mean for at least 20 years right ??? I have driven by it 1000 times and never gone there. I got this idea to try something new. this place is cool I ordered the wings, their wings are outstanding they definitely trumped the vine !! Really nice people working there, a good atmosphere, tasty food, what’s not to like! thanks Shakespeare for a great night!
Feel silly giving a bar restaurant 5 stars, but maybe I should. For what the kitchen is, their soups are amazing as well as their vegetarian black bean burger. Everyone has their favorites, I'm sure. Always great service, good atmosphere.
had a to go order a house burger with onions, cheese, lettuce, and bacon on a gluten free bun with a side of fruit. barely gave me any fruit. onions weren’t cooked. bun immediately fell apart.
Have been ordering through the chomp delivery app, and they are consistently great! Will have to stop by sometime
Great food, great service. Breakfast sample platter is always amazing; probably the best pancakes and sausage ive ever eaten. The only problem is a few select staff tends to try to start drama over nothing, or in otherwords, just very unsociable. But most of the staff are great friendly peoples.
I’m from Denver and it’s been a struggle finding good restaurants out here. This place has great food, their breakfast is amazing and they have wonderful servers.
