Calzone is great! Pizza is crispy and Chicago Deep Dish is the bomb..... Must try all three! Specials daily. It is a destination in Iowa City!
Best deep dish outside Chicago and it’s not even close. Tbh, everything on the menu is good plus the beer is always cold and served in a frosted/chilled glass. Love Sam’s.
Our favorite pizza joint in IC. We LOVE the za and the staff is always great!
Food was okay and our waitress was really nice. Enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was really weird when our waitress had to go outside and start washing the windows in the freezing cold.
This used to be a great place for pizza and beer! After my last visit, I am really disappointed by the quality of the food, and the management.We had an issue with our order, the manager completely ignored the issue and continued to chat (flirt) with 2 female cutomers at the bar. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL!!The wait staff was nice and was trying to get things resolved, so I don't blame them.Overall, not a pleasant experience.
Travis, the manager, is one of Iowa City's best bartenders. Reasonably priced food and drink. Nice open space. Fun trivia.
Calzones delicious and as great as ever!
Had the Chicago style pizza, and it was excellent. Best we have ever had. Service was good too. The decor is a little drab, but other than that it was good.
