Cute place, service was great. Love how the menu marks the country of origin for each dish. Many options but none of them seemed outstanding. More than decent but just watered down and lacking a delicate touch of quality. Maybe our party was too big for the kitchen on a Tuesday. Prices ok with me for most things. It is with many reservations and the utmost regret that I don't give more stars. Maybe I shouldn't hold Iowa Asian food to coastal standards, but perhaps my birth state can do better?
I really don't understand these negative reviews. At best they must be an occasional aberration. I get take out/delivery all the time, and I have dined in person a handful of times due to the Pandemic. In each instance the good and service were fantastic! I highly recommend the Miso Ramen and Steamed Pork dumplings! I wish they marinated the egg that goes in the ramen, but so few places do this anymore. If you have a vegetarian in your life I suggest the Sweet and Sour Tofu dish...I rarely see this anywhere and it gives vegetarians the choice of something like sweet and sour chicken!
I ordered the bibimbop with beef. It was terrible. 3/4 of it was rice. There was very minimal spinach and carrots alongside some weird marinated cucumbers and red peppers. I was hoping the beef would be bulgogi, but it was ground beef and there was only a couple tablespoons of it. Sooooo disappointed.
So many vegetarian and vegan options! Everything was easily labeled also which was incredibly helpful.the service was splendid, the food was wonderful, (some of the best fried rice I've ever had) and it has a charming atmosphere with some of the cutest goldfish I've ever seen. Very cheap pricing also! I highly recommend Oryza
Waitress was a jewel but the food tasted like it had been cooked in dirty mop water. Judging from other reviews, this was an anomaly; after feeling so sick, I doubt that I return to find out.
Restraunt is clean. Food is good. We ordered during the Derecho, after we had been without electricity for 48 hours. We asked them to send cups of ice with our cans of pop. We received four cups of ice, with lids and straws. It was nice to have cold drinks when we were without air conditioning in 100 degree heat. If you dine in, it's always quiet. They even have a pet turtle to check out near the cash register.
Once upon a time, my Chinese professor brought my class his mapo tofu, and I've scoured the globe ever since trying to find something like it, only ending in failure, till I came here. 5 stars for that dish alone, bless the young gentleman who helped me order the right version of it since they make 2. Lo mein was also great, and overall I'm very happy and will be back.
Ordered the Pho - meat tasted as though it was cooked the day before and reheated. Ordered a “large” but was a much smaller order than any pho I’ve ordered from other locations. Noodles wouldn’t separate and clumped together. My sister ordered the pork steak which was very gritty. Bill was $35, far too expensive for the quality of food. Will not be returning.
Stopped in because they were open late, it's a place I've driven by a hundred times but never tried, that was my mistake! The food was excellent and alot of it, Isaac our server was attentive and friendly, we will DEFINITELY be back!
First time trying this. The menu is well laid out and explains in detail what each dish is. Loved the food!
