House made pickles were delicious! Great service. Nice outdoor table area that's secluded from downtown sidewalks/traffic. Sauce selections were unique, plentiful, and tasty. We shared a platter between 3 and all of the meats were refreshingly lean in a "not so heavy they force you to sleep" kind of way. Everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
Either they were understaffed or there was no management who knew how to help a server put in orders. Not a great experience.We were seated at a table and ordered drinks. Waited for twenty minutes. Never got drinks. Asked about drinks. Finally arrived. We waited again. Another table has been seated and ordered drinks and got food as well before our server came back.The device the server was using was to take orders wasn't very conducive to taking orders. Or paying. We paid cash and left. I understand staffing issues. But don't seat people if you can't serve them.
The bowl of chili was dry and didn’t even have half a cup of actual soup. The sandwiches were mostly bun with a tiny amount of meat. Plus our order was 15 minutes late for pick up. Totally not worth the price or time. Jimmy Jacks Rib Shack is a significantly better in terms of food quality, customer service, and overall value.
Smells great when you walk in the door. Food is great and reasonably priced. Both times was more than I could eat. Good beer selection and great happy hour.
HORRIBLE! The only thing good about this place was the waitress was nice. My first bite of the pulled chicken had a bone in it and tasted like it was a day old, the pulled pork was very salty, and the ribs were so tough I could barely get the meat off the bone. This place seems like they need to stick to being a bar and drop the bbq...
Not fresh at all. Chicken smells like dog food. Pork is a day old, like if you left it out all night, that's the consistency. Ribs were edible but basic. Like the type of ribs you would find at applebees..... not a BBQ place. Sauces aren't good. They're like condiments. Sauces have like, spices and seasoning. I'm so sick of Iowa man.
The container on the right is all the fat I cut away. How are you supposed to serve that to anyone? Never again will I spend a dime at this establishment, take some pride
Mediocre food served cold. Rude staff. Restaurant group. Blegh cook your own food instead
Just had lunch and the food was just fabulous. Will be back again and will recommend to others.
Love it here. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate a member our party. Great food and one of the best places in town to watch Iowa away games.
