Never open. Employees are always rude. Not worth coming to this location.
For the 3rd time in a row I've been here, the inside was closed & locked while the drive thru was open & packed with 10-15 cars at a time. A 40+min wait & they were out of cream cheese, pretty disappointing. When I asked why the inside was closed & what hrs they're open inside, I was told they were so busy & short staffed that they just didn't open the inside at all today...yet when I looked in the window, there were about 5employees standing around laughing & eating in the back? If they're so busy, then move the flow along instead of backing up the drivethru for an hour+ at a time. They're going to lose a lot of business if you ask me. I think I'll try a different location next time.
Worst bagels ever. Always inconsistent and incorrect. Would have given one star if it weren't for the shared Jamba Juice; smoothies are difficult to mess up.Do yourself a favor and buy bagels from a grocery store.
This place does not honor Jamba Juice coupons or anything that has to do with Jamba so why are you advertised as Jamba but really not
I'd like to keep this comment positive please hire more staff that can show up on time. Been there 7 plus times in the last 2 weeks always a hassle never open indoors very sad even though their large Orange juices are awesome not worth the $7.50 though or 20+ min wait
As the wait took over 20 minutes in drive-thru, I then received a cinnamon sugar bagel with plain cream cheese that was supposed to be toasted. Only to find that it has red sriracha sauce smeared all over the outside of the wrapping not to mention there is sesame seeds from the last sandwich that they made cut into mine, asking for it to be toasted was a joke because they burnt it.
I love the bagels & smoothies. Orange Dream Machine is my favorite. I'd give a better rating if they were ever actually open or at least stuck to their posted hours of service. I used to stop by pretty regularly till recently. I tried to stop by a couple weeks ago around 6:30pm & found a paper note taped to their drive thru speaker indicating they changed their hours to closing at 6pm which was not indicated online. Fine. A few days later I attempt to go again around 4pm, within the time previously posted, just to find a new note with another change in their hours indicating they closed at 4pm & still no update online. Annoying. Today I tried one more time around 2:30pm & again they had yet another new note with their closing time changed to 2pm & again no updates made online. Super frustrated & considering giving up on the place. This all shows complete lack of respect for their customers. They could at least have the decency to post new hours online so we don't have to waste our time going all the way ther just to not get anything. Absolutely disappointing.
Waited in the drive thru for over 45 minutes just to order and even when I got up to the ordering area I was not even greeted until I yelled Hello into the machine even though there was a line of cars behind me. It was almost a hour until I even got my food. They need more employees or something especially during obvious busy times i.e. the morning.... I won't be going back.
Had two smoothies and a bagel, it was okay. Sycamore mall Panera has better bagel and the smoothies were pretty melted.
Friday Jan 8, 2021 at 10am I was greeted at Jamba & Bruegger's Bagels- Iowa City (Benton & Riverside) with workers behind the counter not wearing Covid masks, laughing and talking loudly, and refusing to wear masks when questioned. When I asked why they were not masking a couple employees finally pulled up masks over their mouths but not over the nose - totally useless. I was given hostile glares from employees when I pointed this out, and they still refused to mask properly. I can just imagine what they do when customers are not around. Needless to say, I walked out and will never return to this potential Covid death trap. This is very dangerous behavior for food preparation workers, and totally unnecessary. How hard is it to wear a mask properly? (There should be zero stars but this message board will not permit zero stars. I was forced to show one star in order to post the message.)
