Best Mexican food in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Recommend the mole poblano.
Called in an order to pick up. They messed the order up and told me when I arrived. No biggie, they offered to correct it. They sent me home with this mess. It’s supposed to be tacos. Impossible to eat, tortillas are raw. Barely any toppings. Had to mix it up and eat it like it was a bowl. Overall bland. Horrible experience.

BEST BEANS AND RICE IN IOWA CITY!!!! if you come here you Must order something that's served with beans and rice, or order the side of beans and rice. i also LOVE the guacamole tostada - it's one of the best things on the menu. tons of great vegetarian options.great service and environment!!!
Wow!! Frieda Khalo theme is authentic, food is out of this world, waiter was a dream. Only possible criticism is that the music was not very authentic and a little too loud. One of my favorite IC restaraunts.

Best authentic (not Americanized) Mexican food in Iowa city. Restaurant is well designed, clean, and plates, menu's, and cutlery all match the aesthetic. Unlimited chips and salsa are served for free as an appetizer, all entrees are served hot with USDA prime steak, and service is top notch. Highly recommend.
Took 30 minutes for a server to realize we were there. Cheese sucks. Had to ask for water about 4 times before it came. Took about an hour and half for food to eventually come
Tacos tasted like hamburger meat and quesadilla cheese tasted synthetic, took a hour and a half for our food to come out
