I would have to say I am a pasta snob. We went here and I have never had a pasta dish like this before. The truffle and mushroom cream sauce was hands down the best pasta I have ever had. I added the seared steak and it just took the dish to a whole different level. We will be back again and again!

You won't find better, more authentic Italian in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. Cozy atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, well crafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list featuring dozens of Italian wines all make for a perfect night out. And don't skip dessert!

I came here with my best friend yesterday and had an absolutely wonderful experience! I loved the ambience inside the restaurant and the service was amazing as well. This is by far the most authentic and affordable Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the Iowa City area. The food tasted really good too! 10/10 recommend!

Our server was great and the service was exceptional! Very knowledgeable and kind. Our server nerded out about whiskey with my husband and made his trip extra special. The food was absolutely stellar.Highly, highly recommend!

Small space but they make the most of it. Good food

The lasagna was sooo good!Husband said Linguine was very good just the right amount of spice to make it fun to eat with a dry red wine.We will go back if we can get a seat next time in town. Need to make reservations early for a seat.

great food, great service nice atmosphere. I had scallopine (sp) and it was delicious!

I have dined at the restaurant and ordered through Chomp for years. The last 2 orders of salmon came with barley, peas, mushrooms, onions and dried basil despite the fact the menu clearly states the salmon comes with lemon-saffron rice, slow roasted tomato and fresh greens. I have had the salmon as presented on the menu for years. When I questioned Chomp about the mix up they said Baroncini told them they sent the rice. I have photos to show what they sent. It was disgusting. I will never eat there again. First, becuase the food was awful and second because they flat out lied to Chomp about what they sent. The Webster is a far better restaurant and varies their menu (and serves what the menu promises). Iowa City has far too many good restaurants to waste your money and taste buds on Baroncini.

Wonderful food and terrific service! Pastas are made fresh and sauces were flavorful. Desserts were awesome as well. Widely varied wine list with some great Italian varietals. Can't wait to return!

Cute vibes but the chairs were busted up. Super nice waiter. When he asked for our drink orders, my little sister actually had the nerve to ask for "orange juice," without even looking at the menu. I thought we were just getting water... Our waiter's eyes literally popped open and I thought he was going to spontaneously combust. He actually stuttered when he repeated back, "Orange juice???" I think he short-circuited because he hesitated before muttering "I think we do fresh-squeezed orange juice..." while my dear sister stared at him with waiting eyes. I thought she was insane. Who expects an Italian place to have orange juice???He went to the back and took 5-10 minutes before returning with our drinks. I can only imagine that he was panicking trying to figure how in the world he was going to conjure up orange juice. Did they actually have a juicer??? Because the orange juice was definitely fresh squeezed, and quite delightful.I can only say I was impressed by the food, and more importantly the service. The octopus was very tender.
