Awesome ribs and steaks...WORST STAFF...Don,t arrive at 2:45 cause shift change is at 3:00...and they look at you .but nobody comes to table until 5 mins after and say,s oh so sorry (shift change).what can t take an order and complete your shift up to 3:00 what a joke. Had table at 2:45..drinks at 3:15,,food arrived at 3:40 and there where only 6 tables seated on a Sunday afternoon...so much for beating the rush hour...
Good food, down by the river. Convenient access to the river walk. Had some issues but the staff went above and beyond to fix them. Must try the cobbler.
Our food was very good but our service was not. We were there to celebrate my birthday and my spouse was very excited to take me there because it was such a good place to eat. He was so upset by the end of our meal our waitress only got $5 tip but the bus girl that was more attentive and an absolute sweet heart got $20! The wait staff was talking loudly across the restaurant to one another and our waitress seemed less than interested in our table. She would pop in but then would go stand at the bar or talking at another table so, the bus girl took good care of us. Our waitress was constantly complaining about her personal issues and the restaurant being short staffed but there were only maybe 5 tables of people and she was waiting on maybe 3 of those. I couldn’t imagine how she would have been with a full restaurant. Very disappointed to say the least. Service from our waitress would have been a 1 star rating but the deliciousness of the food and the wonderful bus girl is what got it to a 3.
I went with a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. None of us had a complaint about the food.or the service. I ordered the ribs and they were cooked so perfect that the meat slid off of the bone. We will most definately be going back.
Pros: waitress was very plesent and my alcoholic drink was good and our appetizer.Cons: ordered the bbq ribs and chicken. Tasted like it was marinaded in salt. Sauce was too sweet.Overall would not recommend
My wife had the best New York strip she's ever had and I had shrimp scampi, which was really good. Looking forward to going back and trying their ribs next time!!
Very happy with our experience here. Dubuque is having a city-wide pandemic related crisis with staffing, etc. We were really having a tough time finding restaurants to accommodate us. Since we were staying at the hotel, it made sense to make some reservations. We were NOT disappointed. The food was perfect. The service was spot on, during a busy dinner time, with a group of 10 people. The server was very friendly with our kids. Probably the best dining experience we had this particular weekend!
Deserved -5 stars…. We were there with friends on Saturday, arrived early in the evening: they told us under 45 minute wait for a table. We waited in the bar, the young man bartending had ZERO people skills, we waited 30 minutes for one of our beverages (I asked him 4 times where it was). One in our party had a Bloodymary or should I better describe it as expired tomato juice with a lemon slice garnish served in a tall boy glass.After waiting an hour for our pager to go off we checked with the hostess again, we were told we were next to be seated. We watched them seat three other tables. 75 minutes in we were finally seated by the hostess stand where it was frigid. (Note to self I should have had Dominoes delivered while we waited)The server was mostly MIA. Our food was bland, nor was it a proper temperature. More than 3 hrs into the experience Fearing if we stayed any longer they’d bill us a hotel room, I approached the Manager seeking our bill - I do credit her for giving a discount however given the totality of the experience we left completely unimpressed.Tony Roma’s has gone way down hill since our first experience with the chain.
I was hung up on when I tried to order a pizza while staying at the motel. The woman who answered was rude and mumbled something about needing reservations, she made absolutely no sense. Called back and the man who answered was polite and let us place an order.
Food was decent but a bit pricey. Obviously busy because everyone in the hotel goes there. Not worth it if you aren't staying there and just want the convenience.
