Welcoming coffee house! We were kindly greeted right away when we entered the door, and the service was very quick. Charlotte's is very spacious, and extremely clean. Love to all the different places for seating. Got two coffees to go, a cold brew, and a white chocolate mocha. The kind barista was able to make a white chocolate mocha even though it wasn't listed on the menu. Delicious.

Very good. First coffee shop I visited while in town and it was good. Pretty decent variety of food and drinks. Cool atmosphere.
Walking through town I saw a sign saying "£2.95, Any sandwich, Any filling". I thought that's a good deal, went in the tiny store and placed my order. Another worker came to the til and charged me £4.50. When I questioned it the ladies smirked and said but that's not a sandwich (a tiny roll). when you read "Any sandwich" it's misleading to the public when you charge almost twice the amount being advertised. I wouldn't mind if the quality of the product reflected the price yet failed to deliver.Rude staff, basic products and misleading advertising. 1*

Charlotte's is a lovely place! The food is wonderful, the coffee is hot and the overall, physical, feel of the rooms are cozy and inviting. Upon these merits alone, (and that I am a local and know the story of Charlotte's and fully appreciate and applaud it's rebirth from a fire) I would be more than happy to write a 5 star review, but the one factor that leaves Charlotte's short of the mark, and it pains me to say this, is it's customer service.With my new work schedule, I've been to Charlotte's every morning this week, early, and for the most part I've been greeted with general politeness. No complaints there. However, this morning, as they opened for business, I was their first customer, even brought in their paper for them. I was not even greeted. They knew I was there, they just ignored me. Completely ignored. Not acknowledged by either of the 2 young ladies, not a smile or a "we'll be right with you", just me, awkwardly standing there at the register watching them for a few moments until I had to ask if there was hot coffee. I was told, and not politely, that there was but would have to wait a while until they were ready for anything else.I was made to feel like an inconvenience by the blonde who stomped around with her keys, and only received pleasantries from the brunette when I expressed my own irritation with the situation.I went there for breakfast, like I had done all week, (the food really is great), but couldn't wait to get out of there with just my coffee. Needless to say, I won't be back, which is incredibly disappointing since I thought I had found my new, daily breakfast spot.Just a suggestion, they open at 7:00 am.
