The best most authentic Peruvian in Des Moines. The owners are so kind and the menu has a fantastic mix of Peruvian cuisine. The Peruvian chicken is spot and you can have a great time hanging with chips/salsa and a drink

This place is big in every way, flavor, variety, portion size and ambiance. It is real Peruvian food. Be careful, because if you order the wrong dish you will have to take most of it home. Parking is limited. Just park on the streets to the south or north. Don't let the outside of this little restaurant fool you. It is a five-star dining experience. This is one you need to go to every week because it will sooner or later get so busy that There will be waiting lines. Very clean and sanitary. Beer served with chilled mug. Massive ice water container. Consider Lomo a lo poured that should be split in two. The tray with cold fish plantains and crunchy corn is Ceviche de tilapia. Tinga is a small bowl of spicy meat for chip dip. That should get you started.

This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I'm hooked. The food was delicious and seasoned so well. The portions were perfect. The woman who served us was super sweet and gave us samples of some of their drinks. I highly recommend the chicha morada, it was one of the best juices I've had.I learned that Peru has Chinese influences in it's culture because of immigration in the 1900s. Being half Chinese myself I had to try one of these dishes and got the arroz chaufa de pescado. The fish was so crispy and well seasoned. The fried rice rivals my Chinese mother's. My husband got the lomo saltado. Again perfectly seasoned and so tender and rich.We live out of town but will be making the drive back again sometime soon. It's definitely worth the drive.
