Easily our go-to spot in Des Moines. My wife and I usually get the Sweet and Spicy Vegan Bowl (but add chicken), the chicken Philly with parm fries, and the pretzel bites. But no matter what we get, it’s always good. Good food, good vibe, good service.
This is hands down my favorite bar/restaurant on the west side of downtown and possibly all of Des Moines. The food is fantastic, they have a small but well-curated craft beer selection, cocktails are on point, the staff is great, and the atmosphere can’t be beat.
Great simple spot for sandwhiches and burgers. The service is good, fast and attentive. Prices are reasonable and food is tasty. Fries are a great side option, and the mac and cheese was quite underwhelming. Overall - highly recommend.
Stopped here for late lunch/happy hour, great sandwiches- chicken philly, hamburger - and bloody mary's hit the spot. Even the parmesan fries were exceptional. Server was friendly, efficient.
Great location, very good menu (especially if you are Vegan), and amazing staff! Eat in and take out, quick, and the service really is top notch. If you are downtown, visiting the City, you should give this place a try.
Great place! Variety of quality upscale food and drink choices at a good price. Great story of the restaurant and historic building adds to the dining experience.
It's in a great location. Apps were good (vegan spring roll and corn fritters), however the entre (Chipotle chicken tacos) came with 2 tablespoons of their chicken and peppers stir fry mix in each taco. I had to combine them both to get a 1/2 full taco that more resembles a quesadilla than an actual taco. It looked like an 8 year old decided to slap something together while mom was sleeping. My co-diners said their food was ok, but wouldn't seek out coming back. For such a limited menu, we all expected everything on it to be at least be worth having a limited menu. Server was fairly nonexistent, after the food was delivered we didnt get a look until it was time to pay. (Maybe 2 other tables occupied in the whole place, so....she had time). My advice is to hard pass on this one, so many better tastes to be had elsewhere. Hopefully something changes over there, can't see it lasting long. Cheers!
This spot has delicious, American, pub-style food and wonderful service. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality that you get. Could they use a little extra pizazz in the interior decorating department? Sure. It feels a little cold at times. But overall -- a consistently good experience from the staff and the kitchen.
Ordered beer and appetizers. Loved the atmosphere and had great staff. I ordered a tall IPA according to the menu \\u0026 price but only received a normal glass. Asked the waitress why and she said the brewery set the prices, but it doesn’t make sense why I still didn’t receive a 16oz beer when that’s what the menu said. Otherwise all of it was delicious. The food was awesome and there were lots of local brews, which I really appreciated. A nice amount of seating and TV’s to watch football on!
We had excellent service and tasty food. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and our server was fantastic!
