Great food and service. The indoor outdoor ambience is wonderful rain or shine.
Republic is our place to go to get beverages and charcuterie boards. I do want to say that their boards are amazing and smoked old fashioned compliments it.You can definitely skip dinner and get few various options if that's what you chose. There's no true outdoor seating, but one side is open to the outside which makes it really nice in the summer.Staff has always been great, fast and friendly. Never have we had an issue there.
Always a great experience ! Atmosphere is fun, service is always great and the drinks are some of the best in town. Not to mention it is a great open air bar with views of downtown. It has surprisingly great food!
I went here last week with a mate while staying at a nearby hotel. I wish the design of the place would have better utilized the skyline view of the city (South and West), but unfortunately you are more likely to look out to the North and East, which isn't flattering of DSM.
Great view! Great craft cocktails and wine flights! The cheese board is a girl’s night out & date night favorite! When we want to unwind in the east village- we love Republic on Grand!
Great experience at the Republic with our Real Estate Team. Definitely a nicer place to go for fancy lounging and dining. Drinks were delicious, and service was amazing!
I wanted to love you! But you did us wrong. The food was great. We had humus and a flatbread pizza. It was tasty and deliciously seasoned. But… the service was terrible. We think our server forgot to put in our order. In her defense, I think they were short on servers. They were having a hard time waiting on people.
Very nice hotel. Will definitely come back here during business travel.
I lived in Des Moines for about 9 months and came here 3 or 4 times even though I had a goal of trying a new restaurant every time I went out. That's how you know it was good. You've got a beautiful rooftop view of East Village, impeccable service, great cocktails, and the apps are delicious!!! Definitely everyone's favorite place for a pre-game or a chill night of drinks and chatter.
We rented the patio for my sister’s bachelorette party. There were 17 of us, Tyler was amazing helping us plan and customize the menus ahead of time. Food was delicious and our server Kelsie did an amazing job. Tyler also helped us coordinate our with the hotel. It was perfect.
