Great ambience and great food. Generous portions. Got my noodles mild and my partner got his medium and we were struggling with the heat. I eat spicy food from time to time and was very surprised. Will definitely ask for a little more bland next time ? I’m tearing up but so worth it because the flavor is incredible
Had the Duck Curry, Thai Basil beef and Shrimp rolls. Very authentic delicious food at a reasonable price. Service was outstanding as well. 10/10 would return.
Stopped by for lunch while passing through Des Moines. Comparatively, the pad kee mao was decent - nice Thai flavors but wished they were more assertive and picked up some of the wok heat and flavor. Portion size is very generous though.
We were in town for a gymnastics meet, and my athlete loves thai food so we looked up this place and gave it a try the first night. It was so good, we came back the next night too! We eat a lot of Thai food, but this place had it all. Large portions, fast, friendly, and cooked to perfection. We tried the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai both with fried Tofu; they offer steamed or fried tofu. There was so much tofu in each dish that we couldn't begin to finish it. They also happily offered altercations to the dishes for us. We also tried the curry and a few appetizers- all excellent. Best dumplings I've ever tasted, and again they offer steamed or friend. I've never seen a Thai menu with such a wide range of options to order, including sushi, chinese dishes, etc. and I would bet they are all excellent. Wish we had this restaurant near us, we would go every day!
This hole in the wall, hidden gem is delicious. High quality food. The menu is well put together and clean. It was busy the entire time I was there but our food was delivered fast and hot. Highly suggest the fried rice or Walnut Shrimp. I also love how you can choose the spice level for all dishes, I got level 5 and it was definitely a kick. I will be coming back!
I order from Thai flavors fairly consistently through door dash, tonight a couple items were forgotten. It doesn't matter if it was the dasher or the restaurant, door dash told me they couldn't process a re delivery, they would give me a refund. But the food is too good, I didn't want a refund I just wanted the amazing food. I called Thai flavors and they asked for my address and said they'd send someone to deliver my missing items, I'm not exaggerating when I say they literally showed up like 6 minutes after the phone call. Amazing food and amazing customer service, I couldn't be more impressed!
I had really high hopes and expectations for this restaurant. I went to Des Moines for work and did some research on authentic Thai food in the area and decided to go for this one. The vibes are very authentic but the food… no so much. And this is an opinion of a Thai who was really craving for something authentic. I ordered Pad Kaprao which they offered a normal version which I assumed is more americanized or localized and another version, Thai Style. I ordered the latter and it was just nowhere near Thai, sadly. It was super sweet! I have never had Pad Kaprao that sweet in my whole life. I hope the restaurant take this advice and make some improvements, cause I really love the vibes and everything.
They have gluten free fried rice! Perfect option for one of my kids. Eggplant stir fry, fried rice and noodles dishes are delicious. I would like to try the sushi.
Food and service were really good. I highly recommend their Thai fare. The Japanese cuisine was okay. Maybe a little overdressed with the sauces unless you get the sushi but still decent. The Tom Ga Gai, Papaya Salad, and Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice is the best I've had in Des Moines. Go for the Thai!
Delicious Thai food. Went on a cold day, warmed up with some soup then I had amazing fried rice.
