Have eaten their great Mexican food for over 40 years. Worth a drive across town to get it! Its delicious AND consistent. I don't know how they do it but this place is iconic!! Well-deserved EXCELENT rating.
Food is great, some new staff, still better than any 'fast food' Mexican in the city. I recommend the soft shell tacos and beef enchiladas......not a red sauce but a thick brown cheesy gravy.....excellent!
I have been comming here since I have been very young with my family since 1973. . Every time I order the beans they don't always taste the same and the tostadas they don't put enough lettuce on. It seems the workers dont really care about your food or what you want. I also checked the website for hours and it said it closed at 9. I drove from West Desmoines and it was closed by 8:00 They deffinnty need to change the hours on websites and train the staff to make the food how its supposed to be made with a smile to customers. I love this place! Changes just need to be mad to continue with satisfying customers!! I have met all the owners and visited the Okaboj Toco House with a different owner...
So bad!!! Don't go here, go to an authentic mex restaurant. This place food is all soggy wet tortillas, and bad sauce! And the meet looks like ground up mush!! On top of that the staff is horrible! Idk how ppl can like this place, and I rarely leave a bad review! But ppl need to know! This place is so bad!
I LOVE TACO CASA and Taco House. I live in Virginia and suffer needing 2 Soft Shells and an order of Nachos. Please post you secret for the hot sauce so i can make NACOS.
